Seed of Chucky is the worst of the lot.<br />

The first Child's Play is played fairly straight, there's some good psychological tension there. The sequels get incrementally sillier. I've seen all of them multiple times, and I am a fan of the series, but Seed of Chucky was a half-baked idea and didn't work.<br />
<br />
Bride of Chucky is probably my fave, especially the way Tiffany keeps getting under Chucky's skin aggravating him about how out-of-date he is, and Chucky's frazzled ego providing the impulse for him to prove to Tiffany that his manhood, virility and murderous creativity are still intact. "Timeless classic ... an oldie is still a goodie," etc. A trip to Niagara Falls where the sleezy motel seems situated almost on Table Rock and the honeymoon suite with the mirror ceiling that takes Tiffany's champagne bottle . . . don't want to deliver spoilers, but the whole thing is a hoot. I think that film might also be the last thing John Ritter made before he died. (His expiration scene using the dashboard airbag is one of Chucky's best-ever creative murders.) Dourif and Tilly are great together, but the script for Seed of Chucky didn't come close to matching their earlier pairing. -

Out of pity?, i have never been so underwhelmed by a huge battle scene (at the start). Looked like a trailer for a video game except worse.<br />

i remember seeing a trailer for it a while back and thinking this doesnt look too bad, but yeah...it was shit!. -

"Black Water" 9/10 - good solid Aussie croc movie, teens wont enjoy as it spends a lot of time building the tension without showing the croc. For "Jaws 2" fans the crunch is back!<br />

"Scorched" 4/10 - complete bollocks tele movie. -

We just happened to flick over when Waitress just began and were hooked. Never been a big fan of Keri Russell but she was very good in this one. -

Liked it, though kept thinking that they should have split it up into two or three films instead of one. The "Times they are a-changing" scene was wicked.<br />
Must read the graphic novel however. -

The director Adrienne Shelley (who was killed) was also a funny quirky actress, she was the star in a couple Hal Hartley movies about 20 years ago, those are worth watching. -
Saw The Damned United last Monday. It's a semi-fictional account of Brian Clough's 44 days in charge of Leeds United at the start of the 74/75 season and it's based on David Peace's book of the same name. Probably better not to have read the book before seeing the film as the focus of the film seems quite different and is too short to deal with the complexities of the book. Still it has some excellent moments and Michael Sheen is superb as Brian Clough. I'd give it 7/10.<br />

The book is 10/10 though and is a must read if you're interested in any one of football, the 70's, Brian Clough, the psychology of being a manager or you just can't stand Leeds United. -
Watched rambo lasty night on tele. Never watched any of this franchise, but did mainly coz I seem to recollect it getting rave reviews here when it came out.<br />

Quite possibly the most pointless waste of 75 mins of my life ever and easily in my top 10 worst movie experiences. Having fire ants stuffed down yr trousers would be a more entertaining way to spend and hr and a 1/4 IMO. -

Watch First Blood, that's the best one, one of the great action films and much less comic book than Rambo. As for the last one, you have to watch that in context after seeing 2 and 3 (3 is a guilty pleasure, just for the sight of Rambo helping out future Bin Ladens). <br />
<br />
Then the excess begins to make sense and you don't go in looking for plot (only the first one had one) and you can enjoy it for the comedy value as opposed to being annoyed by it. But I can completely understand why you would hate it.<br />
<br />
For me, I hadn't had such a good laugh in years. It's an 80s no-brain action film made with modern special effects.
