Sio is off to Wales. Open a space up for us to get the under utilised twin from the Hurricanes and have an Umaga-Jensen midfield https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.rugbypass.com/news/huge-attacking-threat-highlanders-sio-tomkinson-signs-for-dragons/

I would be offering him the 13 jersey for a season. With TUJ at 12, if they could get a first five with a bit of talent (McCluskie?) to finish games, the team could look significantly more dangerous very quickly.

Spoke to someone before who reckons PUJ is leaning towards heading south. Seems he is a bit annoyed with the lack of gametime

I have heard that rumour from someone ,Flanders as well apparently.

Crusaders are south too! They would be handy additions πŸ˜€

I heard the Landers but you never know,

We will have to replace Matera probably.
PUJ would be very handy,we could dump McLeod.

@Chris razor might continue to promote from within giving Liam Allen a full contract? PUJ should definitely link up with his twin & Flanders could bring some more bay flavor joining Evans, Mikaele-Tu'u, Renton ect πŸ˜‰

No not Liam Allen they by passed him this season for Gardner and Kellow who are younger.

Maybe Razor will look for another LF with some SR experience.
But you never know I heard PUJ to the landers
    Flanders looking down south somewhere.

That would be hilarious. Leaves the canes because some guy who's never proven himself at centre is ahead of him and it's musical chairs at 12...goes to crusaders.

It would be Ironic in a few people eyes.

Some info about the Highlanders high performance program in this article. News to me that the Chiefs were interested in Fabian Holland.

No 9s Nathan Hastie and Noah Hotham are in, as are No 10s Cam Millar, Ajay Faleafaga and Finn Hurley, while hooker Jack Taylor, No 8 Will Stodart and tall winger Jeremiah Asi round out a group that is expected to start pushing for full Highlanders contracts by 2024.

@Bovidae since Hastie and Hotham are seen as future squad members , I would hope another kiwi team has a look at James Arscott, still only 21 and has a real good pass on him

That's why I was surprised. The Chiefs have 4 locks who are 23 yrs old or younger.

Agreed, he’s had smith as his mentor for years too, you can see it in his pass technique

@Kiwiwomble Don't know for how long Mark Ozich is signed at the Force, but he could be an excellent fit. Has proven himself at NPC level and has coached the Highlanders U20s in 2021, so knows the emerging talent. Apart from the Magpies head coach, he's also a former Southland Assistant Coach.
