I'd like to see what the Crusaders backup halfback is like - Shearer looks a little slow at times. Although, I expect with the wind behind them this half, the Crusaders might kick a little more. Parker has a big boot on him, so wouldn't be surprised if they make use of that.

    Bartlett looked really strong there.

I agree with the commentator that the Crusaders U20 scrum isn't going well.

Average officiating. That looked like two knock-ons.

Beautiful try to Macca Springer! Chip & chase done perfectly.

    Parker converts.

    Chiefs U20 21 - 26 Crusaders U20.

Crusaders U20 Nikola Vikena is a strong player, but he doesn't look quick enough for a winger. Maybe he'd be better at centre?

Who was the Chiefs player that limped off?

The Crusaders U20's handling errors are stacking up. They've lost several opportunities because of it. Sometimes due to Chiefs' pressure, but most of the time there seems to be a bit of impatience.

Haha, Jack Parker was like a speed bump for the Chiefs' hooker Taine Kolose, but the Crusaders U20 regain possesion and now go for the penalty kick. Jack Parker slots it.

    Chiefs U20 21 - 29 Crusaders U20.

Parker kicks a penalty from 50m out. Not too shabby - mind you, he has the wind behind him

If the Crusaders U20 were more accurate, they'd be more ahead. They need to tidy that up.

The Chiefs U20 struggle a bit with the Crusaders' defence.

The ref now misses a forward pass from the Chiefs.

Crusaders scrum goes better after a couple changes. Is it better because of those changes? As a wing, I have no idea. Chiefs have mixed things up too.

@bobily2 Not sure whether the Crusaders U20 scrum has become stronger or the Chiefs U20 pack weaker. Maybe both?

Hard to tell. I believe Moli isn't a specialist prop, and has often played hooker at the top level. So my theory is that Olly Ryan is an improvement there.

Crusaders James White's kick charged down, but did the Chiefs player really ground it? It's hard to see, both players claim it, the Chiefs' 21 (Te Aonui Wharawhara-Muriwai) gets the try. It's a pity there's no TMO.

    Chiefs U20 31 - 29 Crusaders U20.
