Pretty stunned at votes for Laulala. Didn't he have a hard in 2 Irish tries?

Yeah, he did. He still did well to play so many minutes and seemed to get better as the game went on. Still his mistake in our 22 was unforgivable. The good things he did did not outweigh that.

    For me Savea,Jordan and Akira.

Same. The arrogance of certain Ferners who have a go at Ardie constantly amazes me as if there’s better players that he’s keeping out. He was immense. The other two showed fantastic sparks in attack as well.

Most others were various degrees of shithouse.

If it's time to drop Cane, Ardie to 7?

Why not keep Ardie at 8?

    I'm thinking he's a 7 who's been shoe-horned into 8 as he's such an exceptional player and wonder if he's a better 7

I don't think it matters where you play him. He will play exactly the same way. You have to have Ardie in your team. It is just which two other players you want to pick. and what skillsets you want

And the missed tackle for his first involvement.

I'm having more trouble than last week to pick 3. At least last week Reece, Smith, Bower were all good and pretty much error free. Our best highlights reels tonight were probably Ardie and Akira, but they also made multiple knock-ons and other fuckups and went missing for long periods.
    No votes from me.

@Crucial I voted for Retallick. His best game of the series. The first two were easy.

Jordan had one moment of brilliance but he also was caught out badly for an Irish try and got himself isloated by not passing to a player in support.

    Ardie, Akira, Bower.

Would like to see Jordan from 15.

Savea showed his true worth as a 30 minute impact player, as long as someone fires him up before coming on.

Akira was anonymous until you realise it's him making runs and tackles, not Savea.

Bower tried his guts out, his only failing being part of an atrocious defensive system.

My only worry there being he appears to make such poor reads on defence. But yeah like Bower I guess it's maybe not all down to him.

He does possess a massive boot though

So what does Jodie have over him?

Though what's the point of then getting another winger that we won't use

having only watched the 1st half, I will abstain from voting, cos I dont recall anyone at all deserving in that 40 mins.

I thought Mo’unga played excellent in the first half.

He definitely does, but he's young and can improve that. He also makes up for it by scoring 70m individual tries - which is something the other backs who are making poor defensive reads aren’t doing so much.

Isn't the defence read issue more of a problem on the wing? At fullback as the last line of defence for the Crusaders I haven't noticed his defensive read issue that much. He does fall off the odd tackle in defence as a fullback but so does Jordie.

I dunno, watching him defend on Saturday, he seemed to have quite the case of tunnel vision. Can't say I've noticed it hugely at the Crusaders, but yeah he's probably not called upon to be in the defensive line as much.

It is more of a problem at wing, presumably because he hasn't played there as much (and I think Ioane's communication/organisation is lacking), but he still makes errors at fullback - tends to hang back and let overlaps happen rather than shoot up and take the extra man. he's got the acceleration to be really good at that, but doesn't get the decisions right.
