Canterbury look like they don’t really need her but Jorja Miller seems to be up at the Mount with the Sevens squad. Saw her in a photo with Steven Adams there today.

@Crucial Yeah, I saw that photo, too. No obvious signs of injuries, either, although she could still be on limited training.

Some teams starting to be added. Quite a nifty little tool they have in that link. Worth a look just for that.

After me saying that link and software looks quite good, it is, of course no good unless someone updates it.

Canterbury take out the big game of the weekend despite a very good second half from Auckland.
Auckland a good chance to take it towards the end but got monstered in an attacking scrum and lost the chance.
I find that often the scrum depth isn’t great in many teams and there’s a big risk of things going badly when the reserves come on. Coaches need to be smarter with their scrum/reserve management. Canterbury manage theirs well.

@Crucial that Cantab forward pack was lethal. Heaps of yards made by their props in the footage I saw.

Watching HB v Otago now and the standard around tackling is obviously lower than the Premiership. Otago looking like a very different side than last year by being back at this level.
They have a very sharp halfback that the Cantab poachers will be eyeing up.

BOP stretching out the score against the Poo. Connor and Wills showing some class.

Too many Volcanix defenders are leaving the defensive work to someone else in the last ten minutes, especially in the back three. Not committing to the bouncing ball, and going for intercepts rather than making the tackle.

Momentum shift to the Poo. Only 6 in it now

Not a good second half performance from the Volcanix so far. Poor individual concentration and a high error rate.

That's better, jinxed them into hitting back. 🙂 Volcanix 32 - Cyclones 26 after 68.

A much better final fifteen minutes from the Volcanix sees them win 37 - 26

Impressed with BOP, played to their strengths up front. Look well coached, support play was outstanding. Lacking a bit of x-factor & experience out wide to beat the top teams but great result as 14pt underdogs against Manawatu.
