He's an 8. He played 8 for U20s, he's playing 8 here.

He can play both. He’s played 7 aswell previously and looked comfortable there aswell.

@Higgins open side, I’ve seen him play there a couple of times and he’s been very solid. Just as good as 8 IMO.

Good first hour from Wellington, but let Taranaki back into the game in the last 20 minutes, allowing them to grab a losing bonus point. Only 6 points separating the teams after the final whistle.

I like the look of Peter Lakai. He and Cooper Flanders (at openside) formed a great 7-8 combo for the Hurricanes U20s. I 'd like to see that combo in the senior team in the future (assuming both develop well).

@Chris Yep, he was cited after the Highlanders v Hurricanes game, this year, and got a 3 week suspension for smashing his shoulder into Gareth Evans' face.
