They hold on and then look at the ref, before reacting.
If the BFs beat France I am more confident now we have the class out wide to punish England. The forwards will need to play their best game of the year though as England counter-ruck a lot.

Then they'll just be lumbered with ones the level below the Georgian and Frenchies etc we always complain about anyway, so six of one etc.

I was quite happy to NOT see Wayne Barnes on the Eden Park pitch today.

My tuppence having not read the thread, and only seen the last 35 mins or so.
Canada should have trusted their backs more.
Those periods when they just went with the repeated pick and gos just lacked imagination. And when they did spread it they found space.
Singular moments win these big games. The Pom who drove over the ruck to get the turnover for the 100m+ try is not getting enough credit. That could be the winning of the tournament.
Also, think England gave had their scare. Makes it hard for us to surprise them next week.

The pressure of playing in a World Cup semi final really showed in both matches more so in this one I thought.
Canada have played an expansive game throughout the tournament and you could see they wanted to do it but fluffed several opportunities. Some paid off, but there were more chances.
England have used a narrow attacking pattern and love the forward drive but they too made a hash of several opportunities and then their defensive alignment was found wanting.
A couple of impressive tries in the match and well done to England. Really looking forward to the final.
