Springboks very unlucky with the ref, thought he was shit and mostly Boks suffered from it. Ireland a good team, though, especially when they are allowed to pass the ball forward.

Super and very attritional test match. Unlucky SA, Pool B will be very interesting next year. Apsolute shame that SA, NZ, Fra and Ire have to face off and two of these teams gone after quarter finals....

That was a world class rant from Nick Mallet in the post-match. I'm not saying he was wrong on everything. Ironic to mention the hometown TV coverage (re: replays).

A lot of injuries from this game.

Just watching replay. What the holy hell are the Irish wearing? Looks like a shitty Super Rugby jersey.

They are an abomination. Whoever came up with that design and colour should be sacked.

@Steve must be doing something right so. The teams at the top tend to be disliked the most. Human nature.

45 kicks in play and 22 penalties.

    Reckon I'll skip the replay.

Luckily that NEVER happens on the Fern!

The worst part is it was highly predictable given how these two teams play.

Congrats to Ireland 🍻Brutal game. Our scrums lineouts and kicking cost us in the end. Thought ref Amashukeli was ok and there were errors both ways not just the forward pass. Etzebeth charging around looking for work after 80 mins still defies belief. Peter OMahony Porter Furlong GibsonPark and co just ground it out and truthfully we didn’t deserve a win. Farrell and OConnell should be stoked but Nienaber and Erasmus are going to have to tighten up quite a few things before France…

Commiserations to South Africa - don't know how you lost that test. Inept referee, multiple forward passes, fake injuries, time-wasting, kicks over time, not nice singing/unfriendly crowd, terrible fans, not enough forecast rain, poor kicker. Won't get past quarterfinals again.

Bok goalkicking may have been the decisive factor.

How many kicks did they miss? Sexton missed 7 points.

Boks missed two conversions and a penalty, but five of those missed points were 85% ones.

@KiwiMurph Ireland have been playing superb rugby for the last couple of years so not sure where you’re coming from with this. Did you miss the July series? You know, the one in New Zealand.

Just saw clip which showed Hansen try came from an illegal kick through ruck by Keenan.

Georgian tryo was looking right at ruck and missed it.

    🤔
