I wouldn’t go that far but it is definitely a nice change to see a bunch of average joes battling away as opposed to the Superhero types who’d have broken out singlehandedly

The latest episode of Andor was great. This is definitely an adult show.

Yep. Grown up SW. Loving it.
Like the kidult stuff too but nice to have another genre.

    ##spoiler
leaving the fate of Serkis unknown is not something other SW vehicles would have done. Great performance by him too.

    ##spoiler
Well, apart from Boba Fett ( he got his own TV show ) and also Captain Phasma ( hopefully she doesn’t )

    Also “somehow” Palpatine survived.

….and what exactly happened to the third sister ?

    Ridiculous post
    ##endspoiler

Common trope to leave the fate of baddies unknown. My comment was more about a character that they got the audience really rooting for then left it up to them to wonder. That’s not usual SW stuff except maybe Ezra in Rebels but even then you knew it was just open ended and he would have his story told later.

No. Serkis has already said that his fate is unknown even to him. Apparently the show runner wanted to see the audience reaction.

    Very likely.

Star Wars is full of characters who’s fate is unknown. Jar Jar, the locksmith guy played by Benecio Del Toro, General Veers…..the list just goes on.

    Missing the point deliberately?
No one gives a shit about any of those characters or their fate.
We just had a very powerful arc with a character that you wanted to succeed and then, as @Kirwan says, did a brilliant twist and left emotions up in the air.
Think ESB and the last scenes not being shown. Even with that we would have known Luke’s fate was a cliffhanger.

Jar Jar is an integral part of Star Wars history. I won’t have his legacy brushed under the carpet like that.

…..and you could also argue Kino Loy is a bit of a nobody compared to other characters in SW lore.

I prefer @ACT-Crusader's Crusader test teams to this bit.

Jar Jars ability to trigger is quite outstanding.

I still prefer him to a few of the characters in the last couple of movies though.

have to say i never quite got the jar jar hate.....the comic relief character thats supposed to be a bumbling fool....is a bumbling fool

i prefer him to actual plot holes like force healing...or things like "somehow palapine's returned"

anyway, andor.....im assuming we're past spoilers for last week? we only see two people running across the beach, do we think they are the only ones that survived?

really enjoying mon montha, her portrayal might be one of the better contribution to star wars canon, andor is andor...we knew how he ended up and its nice to see a bit of how he got there....but, mon as leader (one of?) the rebellion...she wasn't a scruffy rebel like almost everyone else, its the story i didn't know i wanted

Indeed, Jar Jar is a pretty crap character but no way is he as bad as people would have you think. George Lucas to his credit took on board the feedback and he was pretty much never seen again.

Another plot hole that pissed me off was Qui Gonn and Obi Wan using the “force dash” against the Droidekas but not bothering during the fight vs Darth Maul ? Also when Obi Wan was fighting Grievous and lost his lightsaber why didn’t he just levitate him and throw him down one of the nearby sinkholes ?

Agree about Mon Mothma too, they’re fleshing that character out in a very interesting way.

He set the tone for how bad the prequels are for me. And I consider the final of the sequels that have those plot holes to be down on a level with the prequels so agree with those criticisms. 😉
