Hi, i'm looking for team info on this match.I was at this game on my second last trip to NZ and i remember a huge amount of All Blacks on show.
I was discussing this with a mate over a few pints recently and i said there was probably 20 All Blacks between the two sides,he wouldnt believe me and we now have a bet on the numbers.
Would anyone here have a SKY Almanac for that year?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Lima, Harder and Lafaiali'i played for Samoa. Va'a may have too.
Ngauamo and Finau Maka for Tonga.

    So potentially 6 more internationals.

I have no memory of Mathie.

The first game i ever went to live as a youngster, sitting in the old terraces with my father. A terrible season for the Aucklanders.

Ugh, had a google on him this morning. I had forgotten he had died at 45, far too young.

I found lots of mentions of prolapsed discs and struggles with his back.

@Nepia i don’t think Mathie played a great deal for the Saders maybe once or twice. Featured for the Cantabs a fair bit.

It might have been vague at the time but he has paid up already so it's all good.

@Duluth Do we charge an Elon or Tim Apple rate for settled bets?
