I don't even have a problem with their making money about their experience as Royals. It's the way they're behaving like angry, childish divorcees with no care for the hurt they are causing which gets me.
Or does it.

How come his paedo brother doesn’t get mentioned when it comes to “drama”?
Because that situation has been dealt with, perhaps?
Harry is really coming across like a complete bitch. And yes, clearly royal inbreeding has had a strong part to play on his intelligence.
Fair enough. I don’t follow this stuff as closely as others but I always found it strange that they seemed more villainous than a paedo in the eyes of the British press.
So Harry killed 25 enemies in battle but was “terrified” of a scrap with his bro ? Something doesn’t add up there.
I'm also far from convinced the peado situation was "dealt with" to a satisfactory level. Seems odd that a couple of narcissists generate so much more coverage than actual disgusting criminals, but that seems to be the society we live in these days.
Yes a sad but true state of affairs my friend.
The gist I get is that they’re far more reviled than uncle Andy.

From what I read, she was 17 when he is alleged to have had sex with her in London, where the age of consent is 16.

I'm more referring to all the people, including Andrew, that were regulars to Epstein's island, where it was an open secret among elites and celebrities that he was trafficking girls, many underage, to that same island. But I guess that's all been dealt with now, Epstein's dead and Maxwell somehow got charged despite having no known customers.

I've no doubt if she was 15 or younger, the outcry would be magnified considerably, and rightly so.

Harry’s getting more coverage because he is selling his entire soul to the very thing he hates the most. Andrew did one (train wreck) interview. Harry’s done Oprah, a Netflix series, written a book & 4-5 other interviews with US broadcasters.

Exactly. He's trying to come across like some woke warrior who was a complete bigot when in the UK, but only Meghan and the US has opened his eyes. And then on top of this, he's broken the most cardinal of rules about being in the armed forces. The armed forces he's claimed he was so proud of being in. The armed forces he set up the invictus games for, as he was so proud.
He's completely lost the plot, and is now talking complete and utter bullshit. And the UK, and especially the UK press, have had enough and are fighting back hard. And don't forget all of this victimisation bullshit is in the middle of perhaps the worst living crisis the UK has had in 50 years.
Deserves every single thing he gets, as long as it's bad.

Andrew is avoiding the press. Harry is inviting them in, as much as is physically possible, and for substantial fee's. Thats the difference.
Despite all of Harry's tabloid style thrashings, I'm fairly sure almost 100% of the UK would welcome him back into UK Royal / Public life before Andrew.

One doesn't mean the other. He could genuinely believe that he has a new appreciation from a perspective he'd never considered previously. That's got naught to do with with his apparent hypocrisy in asking for privacy and making enormous sums of money actively staying in the public space.
For what little it's worth I have some sympathy for a guy whose sole raison d'être is "just in case", on top of a rather tragic upbringing in the public eye.

Correct, it doesn't. However, given the amount of bullshit spoken, I simply don't believe him. I believe he will say whatever it takes to raise the most money. Nothing he's said so far seems that far way from typical family bickering.
For what little it's worth I have some sympathy for a guy whose sole raison d'être is "just in case", on top of a rather tragic upbringing in the public eye.
Good on you. So did I. When he wanted to leave the UK / public eye and set out his new life, I thought the way he was treated was harsh & actually supported his decision.
Then he did the Oprah interview. Mine, and most others I know (not all), changed their view then.

Good for you. I've never served in the armed forces so have no view. I'm only going on what I've read and what people I know say, all of which were part of the UK Armed Forces.

It diminished his standing in my eyes given the reported request to seek safe harbour from the toxicity of the British press, but then rather ironically I'm going by what was reported as I wouldn't watch the Oprah Show if you paid me.

In all honesty it seems to me to be a strange thing to have kept count of. But I say that as someone who doesn't and can't know with any certainty. It's very different on the ground when you're in close combat and also responsible for providing fire support. A range that goes from literally beating someone to death with whatever is available to hand, to calling in an air strike with 2000lb bombs or naval gun fire. That's a very different perspective to those in choppers providing close air support who can review footage. As it is with fighter pilots.
I don't know if he's boasting or trying to provide a context to the impact he had, i.e. he had real combat experience. I'm simply going off what's reported, and if it isn't already clear from my posts over the years; I don't have a high opinion of modern journalism.
What I will say is that he served in combat. For all of his personal failings, you can't take that away from him. Not that it absolves him from failings in other aspects of his life, but people who do their job on a two way range get considerable leeway in my eyes. In the paraphrased words of my best friend people who "have never seen an angry man" don't get to comment. And that applies to plenty of people who wear/ wore a uniform regardless of length of service.
edit - And I should admit that my perspective is tinged with contempt of those who claim PTSD with little or no actual combat experience. I often compare the service of the last 20ish years with those of the world wars when looking at deprivation and mental impact. So I may not be representative of modern thinking in this regard.
-
@antipodean thanks, appreciate the post.
Adds context to your view(s) and makes a lot of sense.

It is looking more and more like ole Harry has major problems aptly supported by the scheming Meghan rather than a scheming Meghan controlling a weak and vulnerable Harry.

Puts it in perspective in some ways I suppose. We don’t get a lot of the same press here as in the UK ( or I’m oblivious to it ! )
