    @Stargazer how long ago did they introduce the time rule on kicks for it to simply disappear?

    Guess the difference now is there will be the clock on the big screen...I wonder if crowds will get in on the countdown as the kicker heads into his last 10 seconds...

    @taniwharugby @Stargazer

    It’s just more marketing bollocks. The law is there, just police it properly. Like most of the tinkering, it might be better to just let the ref do his job, maybe with a word in his ear when necessary.

    Karl Tu'inukuafe arrived in Montpellier in October on a 3-year contract (until the end of the 2024-2025 season), but according to l'Equipe, they already want to part ways with him. Since his arrival, he has only played 5 games for the club, none of them as a starter. The article refers to the back problems he had before he left for France, but it's not clear to me whether that has anything to do with the fact that he's had so little game time.

    Arrivé début octobre à Montpellier, le pilier néo-zélandais Karl Tu'inukuafe pourrait, selon nos informations, déjà quitter le club héraultais.

    I'll put this in here, as it was the RFU who totally stuffed up their change management. Good article

    Jamie George incident sparks outrage and calls for investigation | Wales Online

    Jamie George is now a Six Nations doubt after being caught up in a head injury storm.

    The issue here is perception versus medical expertise. As a ref we're supposed to take guidance from medical staff, although are still free to send someone from the field (and then they can't return). The video isn't long enough for me and my limited experience/ knowledge to come to a meaningful conclusion.

    And I doubt many modern medical staff would risk sending a concussed player back on the field.

    Israel is in the northern hemisphere (as is Mexico) so guess this belongs in here. There has been no mention of the specific reasons why the Israeli team has been booted out.

    @Higgins It's clearly a political decision. I think we should leave it at that in this thread.

    @MiketheSnow 192 weeks, is that all? Generally physically abusing a referee in NZ is an automatic life ban.

    It's his second ban for it except the previous time it was a criminal offence!

    @Daffy-Jaffy oh I do like this:

    Encouraging evasion by the ball carrier has been shown to reduce head injury risk

    Who would've thought if the tackler is evaded then there's no risk of a head injury?
