    Mark Ozich for the Hurricanes.

i like dermody in general but was disappointed he didn;t come to the HIghlanders

He was the Highlanders u20's head coach for a year? but think that was before he won a title with Hawkes Bay.

    Dave Rennie blues,

Have you heard who his assistant is? Apparently he has an assistant he wants to work with

    Wouldn't that be Coventry?

@kiwi_expat Incorrect. Ozich won the Championship title with the Magpies in 2020 as well as the Ranfurly Shield. He was the HIghlanders U20 coach in 2021,

@Stargazer with how conservative Hurricanes are I think Chris Gibbes will get promoted instead.

I believe the Crusaders have locked in their coach but will not announce it until after the SR season is finished.

Rennie and O'Halloran would be a good combo for the Canes.

    Haha.

Crusaders aren’t going to announce for another couple of months but hey let’s allow “Chris” on the interweb to do it….

    Oh, the irony.

Let's see if the rugby media are as keen to want the new coaches announced ASAP. 🙂

Or Boyd returns. It always seemed odd that he got pushed out for Plumtree

He wasn't pushed out, he got a gig overseas so went over there. Plumtree and him were supposed to have an agreement that Boyd would do Canes for a couple of years then step aside, and never stoood against each other for the job. They had were pretty good mates it seems, and every chance if both stood for Cane's job Plumtree would of got it I think.

@sparky Be surprised to see Robbie back in NZ. Nick Evans would be good, he has been on a short term deal with England.
