Blues should be dirty on themselves for letting the Tahs in for a third try.

Feels a bit mean being so tough on a team up 48-21, but that score line should be so much better from a Blues perspective.

That didn't look right. If the defending team has to release a tackled player the attacking team shouldn't then be able to drive them forward.

They’ve come in to support their man, they’re not obliged to let him go like the tacklers are

If Sotutu's knees are on the ground (a tackle) he shouldn't be able get up again.

Agreed. He can be driven forward, but if he gets to his feet he must release the ball first.

Really like Choat as a player - maybe too small for next level?

Tom Christie is playing some good rugby as well.

Shit was that an aggressive tackle from Choat without going flying in out of control or staying back on his heels? I thought there was only the two extremes.

Because the player he smashed was high rather than diving. Great effort trying to pretend they're analogous.

He is not bad I think - strong on his feet, better hands than Cane. Reminds me of Richie McCaw. Best over the ball in NZ.

@kev Christie probably gets more turnovers than any other player is accurate on the tackle but just not a ball carrier, handy though got some key turnovers last night against the rebels when the Saders were under the pump

Choat is such a strong defender, often the Blues go-to man when they need to lift their efforts on D

He has great energy, players like him lift those around him.

Ignoring the point again, you do you bud. Let me know when you've decided which out of the two extremes he was doing. Because like you said, you can only fly in or be back on your heels right?

I guess you think you have a point if you imagine a different take on what actually happened. Choat, like Ofa,, was coming forward to tackle a player. Both aimed low. The difference is HJH dived to ground, while Botha stayed upright.
