    Coombes-Fabling is heavier than that. He was part of the Chiefs WTG all year and started against the Force. He also played 1st 5 in club rugby, which could be his long-term position. That, or fullback.

    thats what various infoweb sites have him listed as....and i remember him being pretty light weight

    seriously though, unless he is miles better than who we can bring through otago and southland i dont see the point, i mean, we had him last year and let him go...its not like hes an unknown entity....i know my expectations arent high but go i hope we can do better than someone thats play a bit at 10 in club rugby elsewhere in the country

    @Bovidae can't be that good if he can't even get in the squad ahead of Stevenson.

    @Kiwiwomble I'm not saying LCF is a big winger but he isn't lighter than Aaron Smith. Probably closer to 90 kg. As a comparison Nareki is listed as 1.75 m and 83 kg.

    Imagine a back three of Finn Hurley, Liam Coombes-Fambling and Nareki. Would probably be close to the smallest back three in Super history

    Jeepers the difference between a big and small back isn’t much. New All Black Dallas McLeod is only 99kg but he brings “size” to the AB midfield.

    @SouthernMann Caleb Clarke might actually score a few tries running at that lot.

    @Kiwiwomble
    The real ones from the Crusaders trainers

    Quote from Foster
    “He’s big 1.90m, 101kg he’s raw-boned, he’s quick, and he’s got an outstanding attitude to get involved. He doesn’t hold back, he backs himself, he’s a great kick-chase person, we’ve seen that on the wing, and he’s shown that versatility basically through necessity, I guess, to change his position.

    @Kiwiwomble said in Highlanders 2024:

    what does "Raw boned" mean?

    All bone and muscle. Think Todd Blackadder, John Jeffrey etc.

    He comes across as a young Stirling Mortlock to me.
