Canterbury name side for clash with Taranaki at the showgrounds — Canterbury Rugby

Marty Bourke has tinkered with Canterbury’s engine room for Saturdays Bunnings Warehouse NPC clash against Taranaki in Rangiora, with North Canterbury’s Luke Romano back in the second row alongside Ellesmere junior Sam Darry, who made a successful return from a broken arm last week.

Canterbury late change: Burke got injured during warm-up. Midfield now Poihipi and Crotty, with McLeod moving to 14 an Fihaki to fullback.

Nice passage of play from Canterbury. Great passing, especially Crotty and McLeod going well there.

Even though the good guys lost, what a bloody fun game to watch. This bloody comp seems to be getting every week. Oh and my picks going worse as well!

Top entertainment, cards made it a contest in the final quarter.

Taranaki would have felt right at home in Rangoon, it is just like Hawera.
