My fear is that we've played our final against Ireland and haven't left anything in the tank for the rest of the RWC.

As irrational or rational that fear is.

It'll be very hard to get back up against Arg see last cup vs England, then eng vs SA. But I think Arg aren't as good as england were then, and certainly did not have the laser focus that Eddie put on beatings ABs above actually winning the cup. So I think we'll win. But it will be tough

no more than anyone else left really. Argentina had to really get up and about to win theirs, England had to dig deep to hold off Fiji, and look at the effort South Africa had to put in.

No one is coming in to a semi final on the back of an easy weekend

@mariner4life Fair points all the Q/F's have been very competitive games of rugby.

I expect us to beat Argentina, however in times of late whenever I expect the AB's to win they invariably lose...

Apologies if this has already been asked but why did goal kicking duties get passed from RM to JB. Slight niggle?

Probably as simple as JB knocked one over from distance early, Mo'unga then missed one, and having not kicked overly well at the Stade de France in the first game they probably just mutually agreed for Jordie to do it.

Considering our yoyo style of performances in the Fozzie era I hope we have an average match this week but squeak the win. Then we'll walk the final.

Wonder if we will defend as narrow again this week? We sure as hell couldn’t do that against SA, we’d get skinned on the outside

It's quite clearly a horses-for-courses approach. I think we are sometimes overly critical of the ABs coaching set-up for no reason. They absolutely nailed the defensive gameplan v Ireland... you can defend well and concede three tries just by the nature of a game, and likewise not necessarily defend that well and only concede a couple of tries.

I agree, just curious on thoughts as to whether that tightening would be encouraged for the Argies, or if we have something else in mind. I’ve only watch one of their games at this RWC and that was the poor showing v England
