We were razor focused in the 1st half.
    Very impressive.

Well he did say that last week's performance wasn't what he had coached them

BB runs a nice line for his try, came off the back of some excellent buildup. Multiple phases, quick clean out. TJP service already starting to labour a bit near the line.

Definite tactical shift to long range kicking for distance, like it

Maybe best to stagger the subs next match, too many at once seemed to upset the balance of the team.

    100% this.

    Bulk subs too early.

Seemed to me to be a function of the score.

I'm ok with it in a blow out, we weren't under threat and it protected some pivotal players as well as got some fellas a good run around.

I doubt we'd see the same in a tight match.

44 Test tries now for Beauden Barrett. It's some career he's having.

Still dangerous, especially when our forwards get a roll on and he gets to attack a line that isn't quite set

Darry has done a Darryl Mitchell. Originally not selected, but he's taken his chance and looks every bit an AB lock.

The attitude improvement is significant, the pack are looking so much better, loving the aggression on defence and attack. And we have rolled out an intelligent game plan.

Love long range kicking exits even if opponents catch them. Gives time to defend.
Defensive dinks been doing my head in for years.

Really good from the starting XV apart from Reiko Ioane. 14 of the 15 executed their roles really well. And after all the criticism some of them got after the Wellington game, good for them.

I think Reiko Ioane is at Test level a Wing who can play Centre rather than a 13. Sooner or later Billy Proctor's going to come through there.

What I loved: didn’t want a bar of playing with the ball in our own half. It was gone. For a team lacking in cohesion it got them playing in the right end of the field. And the. Some really good tries off the back of it. The negative side of it all though, we still didn’t really see any dominating, advantage line forward runs until the 2nd half after all the subs came on.

YC was BS and we all know it and it was that man again MJ in the TMO box that put yet another AB in the bin for nowt.

The 2nd half went to dog shit but I don’t think it was “lost”.

SA can’t wait to run over the top of us.

It was an absolutely stone-cold Yellow Card and it would have been for the last ten years in any Rugby Union game officiated by a European ref.

You can't go high and anywhere near the head and expect to stay on the field. I've seen dozens of those given.

The players in the Irish National side have learned how to never, ever do that. Some of the AB squad still need to learn.

    Habullshit.

Or shall we just ignore the lack of change out wide for Argentina, the extra space out wide for black, the fuck all line breaks and turnovers in the midfield?

    • Mighty Williams was great, could be a signature game. Looked like he belonged
    • Vaai and Darry surprised how quickly they have adjusted to test rugby. Doing great
    • Ardie did ardie things, needs to link when necessary. Leg drive is amazing
    • Great game from TJ but still think Ratima should be starting.
    • Criticism of DMac last week totally unjustified. He didn't have a forward pack last week
    • Attacking dinks are great, defensive dinks are not
    • Fast wings make a difference even in the wet.
    • JB is great when composed like this week. Again had some forwards this week
    • Our scrum is a weapon and you haven't been able to say that very often

@Bones That was Andrew Porter, wasn't it? It should have been a RC. Brodie got the last laugh a year later.

How many other YCs against Ireland in the last four years? Not many.

Yeah man, really quick, only took him 3 years! Finally having one decent game after that short period he might be an absolute legend in as soon as 9 years.

You have to admit Vaai has found his feet and is enjoying it. Knows he can do it now.
    Love his verbals and grin
