    • how he can say that with a straight face while watching a slo-mo replay of it is beyond me.

    Ho hum.

So what are the odds on New Zealand getting a grand slam in the Championship - 1/50?

Cubelli has been shit. That's what the Brumbies do to you I guess 🙂

Doing the same thing he did at the Brumbies: three steps then pass. Kills the attack

I can't figure out if it's worth £20 to watch the replay at Twickenham.

Another good win for the Wallabies, congrats aussie posters. Nice to play someone other then the ABs or England. The away legs will be interesting.

hard to know what to make of Australia's performance. They've been good defensively, but Argentina were so unimaginative, their 9/10 axis was as shit as I've evers een in an international. it didn't look hard to contain, but can't fault Oz for that. Pocock was as useless as Moore, McMahon and Polota-Nau the better options.

He didn't hold back either - could hear him grunt and leap as he punched it. Wish they showed the side-on view as I reckon that would have made another 10-15 metres.

Bonus point win at home, holding a fairly handy opposition to 2 tries. After we conceded a couple of stupid yellow cards as well.

Scrum started poorly after the first yellow card, but dominated by the end. Lineout was 100% I think? Didn't steal any. Defense was pretty bloody good for most of the first half, and attack had its moments. If Quade's wide passes were as good as his inside balls, we might have got to 50.

McMahon made a huge difference when he came on. That kid is an animal and could easily be a link-style 8 (as opposed to a big bopper). So good in contact.

For me the pleasing thing was defence. Where, last week, we kept our heads and got over the Boks despite a shaky start, this week we put all the points on and then had to withstand the pressure.

As a result, Argies couldn't get their offload game going. That and because Cubelli is rubbish. Can't believe he started ahead of Landajo. Matera continues to impress, as does Leguizamon. Senatore had some nice touches. They got a heap of head knocks though and losing Creevy was a blow. Their outside backs just couldn't get involved because 9-10-12 weren't working well enough.

Not a spectacular win, but a good win. I'll take it.

ABs officially win TRC 2016 at this point.

    Pretty good summary NTA.

Game was won in the first 20. Argentina's game isnt built for chasing the score - it is all too loose and their bench is mostly pretty weak.

Agreed on Cubelli and Landajo - sometimes these test coaches and their selections - e.g. how Mcmahon isnt further up the Aus loose forward pecking order is beyond me.

Aus defence was definitely impressive - though also helped with a big lead and an Argentinian side hampered by their starting halves and general talent in the backs.

Standouts for Aus looked to be Coleman, Genia, Hodge and McMahon. Kerevi was ok but looks better due to comparisons to TK.

Standouts for Arg were Creevy and Isa. They couldnt get Toucalet in the game enough.

One of Barnes' better performances I thought.

Haven't watch recording -- yet! -- but from stats you'd think the Argies would have won comfortably.

The defence from us looked more like our RWC efforts instead of the shit served up the last few weeks. Much better line speed.

While the Pumas did have a lot of ball, it was fractured due to their own poor handling. When we got it back, we made some poor kicking decisions to hand it back to them

Pocock broke his hand last night so no more Pooper. McMahon will give the loosies more balance.

Cooper is still a grub. I still don't think Hooper is that effective, a nuisance but not enough physical impact.

It's all relative. About the only good thing about Bernard Foley is you can nickname him Axel.
