Moli being injured improves the team

We'll struggle to win without GPT

@Duluth Him and Kurt Eklund is like night and day. Yes Moli being out is a benefit as his Manukau team mate should have been starting ahead of him for a while now. Tu'ungafasi being anywhere near the side is cringeworthy and good to see Jono Hickey out of the starting lineup.

Rieko v Seta in midfield should be fun.

I'd say Naki will win this one - can see Auckland having trouble again at set piece and Cooper is a much better coach than White.

Great game to watch, with Naki taking the bonus point win. A nail biter until the end.

Not much separating Rieko and Seta. Rieko faster, Seta stronger. Both scoring tries.

Taranaki deserved winners; points difference would have been much bigger if McKenzie could kick (he missed 3 conversions). Whether Auckland makes the semis, now depends on other results going their way.

Akira powerful, but annoying as ever. Great game from Luatua.

This game showed why NPC rugby is awesome.

Nope, Auckland are screwed no matter how you look at it.

Yeah I don't think Auckland have a mathematical chance even.

    Good game to watch.

Other than the charge down I thought the much maligned Hickey had a decent game.

Naki seem to grow another leg at home. They'll be tough to beat next week

@ACT-Crusader If Canterbury deny Counties of any points then we'll go through. Either way we either end our season now or get hammered by Canterbury next week.

This Auckland team doesnt deserve to make the semis - the only Premiership team they beat was Hawke's Bay and that was due to an Ihaia West missed kick.

One missed tackle aside Rieko was excellent - Nanai also and Luatua. Not much else. Akira is a long way from the ABs imo, let him have a proper Super Rugby preseason and develop.

@KiwiMurph Akira tries to do too much every time he gets the ball. He needs to take the ball in more instead of trying to break tackles every time he touches the ball.

How does a union with the resources at its disposal look so average on the field? Why do Auckland players give away so many dumb penalties?

as a fan, if you find out pleaes let me know.

    Very frustrating season.

Still, my return on investment was a bunch of games, and a sack'o'spuds. Can't complain too much.
