There's a little troll in each list for the keen eyed reader.
Also, I feel a duty to prepare Chiefs fans for next year when they're without their 9, 10, and coaches. Some of them may even switch back to supporting the Hurricanes.

Squire is clearly ahead of Ioane in the pecking order at both 6 and 8. Squire's three test starts have been at 6 and even injured Hansen has chosen him in the full squad instead of Akira.
In fact, the only thing we don't know is whether he might have surpassed Kainbo and should be at the top of the 6 list if fit..... that's just for you you Blues-loving bastard!
I was reading that first line and thinking that's all good, I agree with that, what's the issue!
Then I read the second! Clearly my alert system didn't go off because Chris B, who has clearly lost his marbles, can't spell properly.

@Tim Pulu is not NZ qualified.
Pulu the halfback? he's played for the ABs already hasn't he?

And number 6:
- Kaino (old legs keep going, please!)
- Big Gap
- Ioane
- Squire
- Fifita
- Mitchell Brown
- Players at Highlanders/Crusaders better than Taufua/Dixon
I'd rank both Dixon and Taufua above Brown.
For the future, Hugh Renton (Hurricanes) might be worth a mention, if he can stay fit. He hasn't had much game time for Shield Snorters and the Hurricanes yet due to injury, but he's only 21, so has plenty of time. He showed some great skills for the Shield Snorters last season and I hope to see more of that this Mitre 10 Cup season.
Reed Prinsep?

Augie Pulu the 9 is test capped as an AB. T Pulu the winger is not eligible.

Alright, I suppose I'm still doing this. Let's go at number 8.
- Read
- Big Gap (Kaino can fill in here)
- Squire
- Ioane
- Whitelock
- Shields/Messam
- Savea
For the future, Marino Mikaele-Tu'u looks promising. Hopefully he'll get plenty of game time during Mitre 10 Cup and will be picked up by a Super Rugby squad. Strong lad, who played well for the NZ U20s.

@Stargazer will be a fair few of the winning team this year running out for their Mitre 10 Cup teams with a few likely to pick up super contracts for 2018 as well.
