MotM vs South Africa I
-
3 votes as usual.
-
Cane, Smith, Whitelock for me. Special mention to Tu'ungafasi, Read, Retallick, the Barretts, NMS and R. Ioane. I don't think anyone had a bad game.
-
SBW. NZ midfield is 100% dependent on him.
Retallick, OFA, Cane, and others very good too!
-
Ioane, Barrett and Barrett are my picks.
-
@Stargazer wow - what about Beauden stood out for you?
-
Coles, Cane, Smith. Honorable mention to Retallick and Ioane.

Beauden did some great things (as always). Sometimes he made bad decisions though which could cost you in a close game. The cross field kick before half time was very poor. We scored some tries with him on the field I don't think we would have scored otherwise.
-
@hydro11 Seemed most of his "attacking" kicks were pretty poop. Decided to take it up into traffic a lot too, which I thought often wasn't needed. Definitely not one of his best games IMO, certainly not even in the top 5-6 players.
-
Barrett. Barrett. Cane.
Although Bones tells me BB didn't have a good game so no doubt I'm wrong.
-
both locks and smith. cane was great too, but the locks did it for longer.
-
@Billy-Tell It's ok to be wrong.
-
A Smith, Rieko and Cane all really stood out for me.
-
LOL, one vote for SBW who completely transformed the backline with his lines and physical impact.
-
As always though, Tim, the only three votes that count are the ones cast by Steve Hansen, Ian Foster and Grant Fox.
-
@Tim Yeah, possibly just the Blues players who saw that complete transformation...
-
@Tim jeez tim, i dunno - he played okay and made less errors than usual, but he's not even top 6 for me... the tries were:
aaron smith tapping and kicking for ioane
NMS intercept with BB
BB cross kick. coles-nms-scott barrett
ioane breaking then coles-retallick (admittedly sbw ran a nice support line here)
BB skip pass to NMS
ofa t burrowing
alb breaking for sopoaga
taylor from a maul -
Ioane, Cane, Whitelock.
Smith a very unlucky fourth.
-
Rieko, Aaron Smith and Cane.
-
Reex, Smith and Ofa

Tim, Crucial's hacked your account.
-
@Bones Couldn't have said it better myself.
-
@African-Monkey hah shit I could've! I meant fans, not players 😊
-
Cane, Whitelock, Ioane.
Wonder if it's time to start giving Cane closer to 80, if not 80, Ardies impact is lessening every week
-
@Tim. I think he had a good game too. Playing his role which is not as flamboyant as what we have come to expect in the past.
-
SBW was solid I thought. Still not a well oiled combo with BB and Crotty though, can still hesitate
For MotM I thought Ione and Smith (who at one stage was just outrageous), most others excellent, locks and bench especially. Read was there when he needed to be, lineouts and tackles. Also marveled at Cole's magic awareness of where ball would be (but thought he has lost a bit of speed) and Taylor for his pressure when he came on. SB was great, Squire's cameo was wrecking ball material, showed heaps of bogan mongrel (is that bongrel?) Thought of BB as 3rd but he varied from incredible to good to why did he do that, so no.
Went for Cane, really important part of team, so he is my #3.
