New Zealand Rugby (NZR) and SKY will partner to livestream the All Blacks upcoming matches against the UK Barbarians and a France XV and the Maori All Blacks matches against Canada and the French Barbarians, in a move designed to grow the global fan base for the teams in black.

The partnership will see all four games livestreamed as pay-per-view events on AllBlacksTV.com and will be available to both international and New Zealand based fans. The livestream will be available on all modern web and mobile browsers delivered in HD quality, depending on the viewer's bandwidth. Those who arrive late to the livestream, will have the ability to rewind to the beginning of the game at any time.

SKY and Fan Pass subscribers will still be able to watch all these games, plus the Tests from the Vista 2017 All Blacks Northern Tour, through their normal subscription.

New Zealand-based fans can purchase the livestream for selected individual matches on AllBlacksTV.com for NZD $24.99 per All Blacks match and NZD $14.99 for each Maori All Blacks match. The matches can be watched live or on-demand after the event.

SKY subscribers can watch the four games live on SKY, delayed on Prime, and also available on SKY Go. Fan Pass customers can watch all matches live with their monthly subscription – which is NZD $99 for all seven All Blacks and Maori All Blacks matches in November (plus all the other sport broadcasted on SKY Sport 1-4 that month).

@nepia Yes, that's what I thought, too. Illegal streams are usually of terrible quality though; I expect the NZR stream to be top notch. Or it should be.

The ABs stream for the Ireland Chicago game (and Maori-USA night before) wasn't THAT great.

Do you remember how much it was? I remember it being 6 or 7 bucks?

I would think people pay for these streams if they are reasonably prized, for someone who don't really have access to sh rugby, I welcomed the Chicago stream, but probably won't ship that much for the upcoming games.

$25 is way too much, with 10+ tests a year...

There are plenty of quality streams out there for bigger games like this, but they do crash still (as does SkyGo)

    Australia:

    .

France have lost Camille Lopez (Clermont), who - last night - suffered a broken leg in one of the most horrific accidents I've seen in rugby recently. Sickening. He has already had surgery and will be out for at least 5 months.

I sure as hell want to see a 200% improvement and some fireworks on this November tour rather than that dull and dumb shit show they served up on Saturday. Christ if we shovel the ball from side to side in the vague hope that someone will do something with it as we did v Aus - the bloody Barbarians will eat us alive, let alone France Wales or Scotland.
We need a bloody plan of attack first and foremost, which I hasten to add seemed to be completely lacking on Saturday. We can't afford to give the latitude we gave against Aus, and perhaps a think tank from the coaches and senior players on managing the game better may be in order. A freshen-up in the coaches box is long overdue

Hey Oz fans, so what is the point of the Classic Wallabies v Barbarians match?

It doesn't seem to serve a purpose other than just being a festival game - or are the Baabaas (TNW & Pek Cowan aside) seen as future Wallabies players?

Parkes has been playing some good footy for Scarlets in the Pro14. Playing mainly at 2nd 5 with the odd game at centre. Plays alongside Davies, so that probably helped his chances significantly.

    Good luck to him.

More a warmup game for the Baabaas given their upcoming match against the Wallabies.

Does no Jamie Roberts or Scott Williams mean that Warrenball really has been retired?

Meanwhile reports are that Gatland wanted ex Wales U20 player Luke Hamilton but Hamilton has been named by Scotland instead. Some slight loophole that is now closed applies to Hamilton and he is free to move.
    Anscombe presumably still injured?

@higgins I have been keeping an eye on it, and I haven't seen any publication relating to a suspension of Lamborn or Tudreu. I found a media release relating to a red card handed out during the same weekend (Albert Nikoro), so I can only assume that both Lamborn and Tudreu's cases were either dismissed or their sent-off was deemed a sufficient punishment. Probably, there has been a media release about it, but no news site could be bothered to publish it.

And it is probably only going to get worse as I read someone's column yesterday where he said the Fairfax Media had made the position of sports reporters redundant at a number of regional newspaper and the Hawkes Bay Today was one of those mentioned. Will see if I can hunt it out and post the link to it.

EDIT: Found something referring to the axing of sports reporters positions but not the column I was referring to above http://www.etu.nz/fairfax-axe-sports-reporters-another-blow-regional-journalism/
