It's been Tasman with the upper hand for the first 15 minutes and they lead six three. Taranaki not looking their usual selves but that's a bit hard when Tasman has had most of the ball.
-
Hunt is not wearing his kicking boots. Another miss. 14 - 10 Tasman
-
Awesome try from Ngatai!
-
If it's any consolation to you Stephen, I think your awesome defensive effort should have resulted in a 5m scrum.
To guys pick up the ball at exactly the same time, both holding it an never let go and it is forced in goal. How is that a try?
Why does our sport hate defenders?
-
Jeez Ngatai is a classy player at this level.
-
And that was a great team try from Tasman. Entertaining game.
-
Some nice tries tonight. Taranaki 9/10 combo working well. Wainui the weakness on defence for Taranaki.
-
This has been a fun game to watch as a neutral who hates both teams equally.

These teams aren't worth your hate Nepia - save it for Wellington, Canterbury and Manawatu...
-
There are different levels of hate.

I have enough hate to go around :). TBH, Wellington aren't that high on my hate list, they're below the Southland, Northland, Bay of Plenty as well as the two above.
-
@nepia So just the teams with Crusaders players?
-
@bones Nepia has to keep his options open for switching his support between the Hurricanes and Chiefs.

Yeah, I hate the Magpies when Dagg plays for them.
-
Where are all the Naki and Tasman-ian fans that we can completely derail the match thread with our inane back and forth.
Clearly they have social lives.
-
Tamanivalu with a yellow card lol..
Looks like Tasman gonna play Canterbury -
Halanukonuka has been a game changer. Why didn't he start?
-
Hunt with a key mistake. That's gotta feel shit.
-
That's going to be a big kick ...
-
... and he misses.
-
Only on direction, not on distance. It was a huge kick.
-
Wow, that was close! The final will be a repeat from last year.
-
The ref can't blow full time there can he as it was a penalty advantage to Tasman - they have to play the penalty

One could argue that the ref applied common sense and Tasman used their advantage.
-
How can you use ref and common sense in the same sentence?
-
Thats an epic choke by Taranaki. Well done Tasman - theyve come a long way since getting pumped 49 nil by Canterbury in the first round.
-
Paying the penalty for the team they selected last week?
-
Woo hoo!!!!
-
Fuck. Watched this hoping for a bit of a pick-me-up after the test. But, fuck.
Now it's early afternoon, drunk and depressed. Considering watching RWC 2015 Final again. -
Jordan, Lowe, Nankivell, Hunt, Frizell, Halakonuka and Makalio the standouts for the winning team.
Tamanivalu, Perofeta and Sowakula were very good for Taranaki.
TTT did a replay of his game for the Canes against the BIL. He has a lot of qualities but his decision making is something that has to be fixed.
