Going well so far after the sick period.
Great run on Sunday despite being nearly killed by the heat.
Monday: first proper leg day for a while. Smashed it. Really good.
Tuesday: shoulder. Another good day. Very on point.
Will try and hit the pool tomorrow. It's a bastard that there a no more lessons. Much easier than having to do this myself. -
So new weights program today. Haven't changed things up for months so it's high time. Was going through the motions in terms of pushing da tin.
First day was chest and shoulders. Not bad at all. Good mix. Will continue with swimming and running twice a week as well.

Good God. 21 days! That is shit.
Crazy busy with eldest at new school and his swimming commitments (6 times a week plus Friday meet on other side of town). Some hardcore shit, but he seems into it and the whole environment around the sport is great. Fark he's turning into a specimen. Lucky bugger will get more pussy than a cat shelter. Thankfully he's at a boys school now so won't be distracted by all that. Lucky prick can eat what he wants too. And he does...
But this isn't about my spawn, it's about me and I've been pretty good. Back into the swimming and eating has been pretty much spot. Went a bit nuts on Saturday, but I guess that's allowed. Punished myself with epic run plus pullups etc on Sunday morning.
Swimming this morning. Can't rave on enough about this. Just the best workout. Farks you up but in a good way 👍.
-
Bit of a cnut of a week. Eldest spawn's swimming means getting up at 4:30 3 times a week. Work also means that I often don't get to bed by 11 or 12 so that isn't ideal. But you do what you gotta do!
Training has been OK. 3 swimming sessions and 3 gym sessions. Need a good night sleep tonight though.
An old Tinder fling texted me and asked to meet. I won't, but fark my penis is doing it's very best to override my brain. Not good. Families and relationships must have been destroyed, wars started and fortunes lost because of guys who can't keep their wieners in check. It's such a blessing and a curse!

@Rancid-Schnitzel yeah I can imagine the temptation when you've shacked up but chicks still remember your D 😄😄 presume things are going well with current squeeze, and from what you've shared you'd be mad to throw that away.
Tip my hat to you re supporting your son. Holy shit that's early. Swimming aye!! Can he ride an e-scooter there?? Or ride share with anyone else?
We are taking ms 2 to pools semi regularly. Always tempted to nip over to the big pool for a few lengths.

😂 Yes we are primitive Neanderthals but I'm smart enough to know when I'm onto a very good thing.
Swimming is like the old East Germany here. It's psycho. My son is a breaststroker and the kid in front of him at the moment trains 8 times a week! 8 FFS. In fact I get blown away by how much some of these kids train. I do adult swimming but sometimes these 2 13 year old girls come to get extra training. It's farking humbling to put it mildly. Myself and another dude were doing 25m Max efforts while these girls were doing 100m. Anyway, after the session this morning, they were then going across town for running training. If I did sport on a Saturday morning I went straight to the couch! Burn out factor must be huge I reckon. But I guess I've just never really been exposed to the elite sports environment before. A real eye opener.
-
Swimming this morning. Great shit as usual although I just can't do farking kick board. That shit just fooks me up. Give me pull buoy any day. Lots of volume today. No Max efforts thankfully but I bet they'll be there on Thursday.
-
Oh yeah, spoke to the 13 year old about her Saturday programme. So it's swimming for about 3km at 5:45, then 10km run (intervals etc.) and then strength work. Bugger if I'd be doing that at 13. Have to wonder how she'll keep that motivation up.

The days seem to be melting in to one another. Still struggling with the very early starts but I think the body is slowly getting used to it.
Yesterday managed legs at lunchtime and then swim in the evening. Bloody tired this morning but back workout was ok. Difficult to find time for a run because the only time to run that isn't stinking farking hot is the very early mornings and they're either taken by swimming or driving. Hopefully will cool down a bit soon, although that will make the swimming a bit harder. At least the pool is heated.

So basically you're using two different weather extremes to make excuses

It's always either too hot of cold whenever I feel like going for a run I find.

You got me there. It's not like I'm just going to admit being a soft cock.
It is too hot to run here during the day though. Not worth the risk.

Where were we. So, arms Friday then swimming Saturday. Managed a run Sunday night which was a piece of piss compared to swimming. You can breathe the entire time which helps!
Back in the pool this morning. Gun session. Max efforts x10. First 10 metres, then 15, then 25. So 30 in all. In between we had to do ab and core exercises. Blasted after that but love that shit. Prefer it to endless laps.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel wtf? they have you doing stuff poolside in between laps?? that is too brutal!!

It's very rude, but tbh I prefer that to endless laps. Weekend was 400 freestyle then
100IM (butterfly, back, breast, fs) + 100 fs
100IM + 200fs
100IM + 300fs
100IM + 100fs +100IMFook that up the butt. I just can't cruise like I can with running. Had a gander at that swimming thread and the 9km lake swim....... No thanks.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel oh yeah, swimming is full effort all the time... or you sink!!
