- Damian McKenzie (63)
- Shaun Stevenson (30)
- Charlie Ngatai (53)
- Sean Wainui (12)
- Toni Pulu (31)
- Solomon Alaimalo (23)
RESERVES:
- Samisoni Taukei’aho (7)
- Sam Prattley (7)
- Jeff Thwaites (10)
- Jesse Parete (6)
- Lachlan Boshier (27)
- Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi (14)
- Marty McKenzie (16)
- Johnny Faauli (16)
-
ALB rested this week. Good to see Boshier back after his appendicitis. Hopefully BBBR next week. Stevenson gets a start too.
DMac might not need to be spelled as he missed a fair amount of time on the field in 2 games.
-
Enforced rest for ALB? At least we get what looks to be the best back 3 with Wainui-Cooper in the midfield. Although I'd prefer Alaimalo on the wing and Stevenson at 15.
-
-
@stargazer Like that thought Stargazer I'm hoping the Chiefs will still be fizzing after Suva and the injection of their ABs (minus ALB of course) DMac always seems to play better after returning from AB duty. Hope it rubs off.

Sam Cane has some ground to make up after a lacklustre (by his standards) test series.
Let's hope he spends the game introducing Pocockwomble to his shoulder. -

Brumbies
1 Nic MAYHEW
Wasn't there a a Nick or Nic Mayhew that played a bit of prop of Auckland back in the day?
Given my age I'm guessing 25-30 years ago? May have been relation to Doc John Mayhew?

Same guy. North Harbour and Harlequins, now Brumbies
-
@crucial he's aged well.

Ha! I missed that part of @booboo 's post.
His alzheimers is really starting to get noticeable isn't it? Should we stage an intervention? -

-
not sure how that was a penalty against the chiefs scrum there
-
DMac is looking classy and assured at ten.
-
well worked try there with Harris crashing over in close
-
Interesting forward pass call against the Brumbies there. Try stolen by Rasta.
-
@bones heard on the radio the were saying he is by far the fastest ref, and probably quicker than most players...I'd prefer he was slower and made better decisions
-
Dmac looking much better at 10
-
Some good breakdown turnovers by Chiefs.
-
think that Brumbie got smashed in a cleanout by his own man.
FFABGCN playing well
-
Great play there - Chiefs full value fpr their 17 points, some great turnovers and DMac looking sharp at 10.
-
great defence there
-
fark, Cane off for HIA...looked like he was out
-
@taniwharugby Yeah not good, he took his time getting back to his feet. Hopefully just a precaution
-
that young Messam fella looking good!
-
@Rasta - really?? Jumping the gun? FFS
-
@shadowtrooper last one the Brumbies hooker was standing up and Chiefs got pinged.
-
@taniwharugby Who he? Found a new lease of life I reckon. He's the glue in that pack.

Can't stand him as a fifteens ref, he has no idea

He has looked better than both Squire and Luke Whitelock all season
-
@machpants Yep, not much better at sevens either.
-
Charlie Ngatai is a mighty fine rugby player
-
17-0 at the Break
DMAC, FFABGCN, OMM, FABLJ all playing well
-
Did I hear the Comms refer to MacKenzie as DMac at one point?
-
@crucial yeah when he went over for his try.
-
@crucial Lol probably reading the fern forum at the time
-
@shadowtrooper he's awful at 7s. Misses so much. I reckon he's better at 15s. The game is slow enough for him to be able to engage his brain a bit. Still liable to making things up but doesn't seem to make as many glaring errors.
