I don't wish ill health on brilliant players, but it would be nice if he skipped the return leg.

Even without him I don't think 3-0 is achievable. 1 goal, yes. 2 goals tough but maybe, 3 goals and not concede, no chance

Liverpool are good enough to score three at home. The bigger problem will be doing that without giving up an away goal. Salah's late miss could be the difference in the end.

Woops sorry @Hooroo, misread your post and didn't realise we were saying the same thing!

Against most teams, yes, against Barca, I don't think they are

@Stargazer In the nicest possible way I hope we can spoil your party in 3 weeks time....

3 weeks? It's next week the return leg, isn't it?

Yeah, you know what I mean

Yes, slim chance. Quite sad that despite the season we've had, we're probably going to end up with nothing.

Yes, I suppose there is also a slim chance that they could score 12 goals..... I suppose. I am never really speaking literally with these statements

Even though I'm a Gooner, having Liverpool fight for the title has been a thrilling watch. Too often in recent times the winner has been decided well before now.

Not that it is any consolation to you.

Having now watched the highlights of the Barca v Liverpool game.

Lovely first goal and superb free kick - any lower or slower and it is saved.

But that was a shocking miss by Salah at the end - weak foot but he has to at least get it on target. 3-1 and it is a different tie. Certainly didn't look like a 3-0 game, in fact Ajax looked more dominant than Barca in their vistory.

Footage emerges of Messi punching out a Liverpool player, winning a free kick as a result, that he then putting it home. I'm claiming at as incontrovertible proof of a stitch up. Moral victory assured. Kick them out.

We should have sewn up a CL spot by now with our draw and the losses around the top 4 but instead we are trying the hardest way possible and still have a slim hope by winning 3-1 in the Home Leg of the Europa Semi

Tell me about it! Looks like the final (if we get there) will be against Chelsea too.

I only think we are 50/50 of reaching the final as we concede too easily and a 2-0 to Valencia will see them through.

    Where is the final??

For those of you who care, Notts County, the oldest professional team in the world (1862), founding members of the Football League (1888) are in danger of dropping out of the league for the first this weekend. They have to win at Swindon and hope Cambridge win at Macclesfield. Both events are fairly unlikely and any other results see relegation for Notts.

As the most relegated club in the football league, this adds to our record. And with the 3rd highest attendance in the 4th tier (over 7,000), we will be the biggest club in the 5th tier. However it is a sad day for a club that dropped out of the top flight the season before the Premier League started.

And although it is odd that Liverpool may not win the title despite only losing a single game all season - Man City lost the Womens Super League to Arsenal while remaining unbeaten.

Spurs acting Spursy, lose 0-1 to Bournemouth, failing to clinch top 4. Arsenal need 3 points from Brighton to stay in the hunt

Cambridge did their best to help you with a one nill lead at halftime before letting in the equalising goal mid way thourh the seond hald. Your guys going down three one certainly did not help. Is there any hope remaining or was that the last game of the season?

No hope, we're DOWN. (Actually if Bolton were to be kicked out of the league altogether we might survive ....). For around 15 minutes we were actually staying up being 1-0 up and Macclesfield losing. But then Macc equalised and we went down in a screaming rush.

Ironic that Warnock took Cardiff down today when 27 years ago he took us down, the last time we were in the top flight. He's an old bugger, both managers in the Cardiff v Palace game are over 70.

Great look on Poch's face when the guy he brought on at half-time as a sub to save Dier from getting himself sent off immediately takes someone off at the knee and is sent off. Lucky for Spurs that the Arse and Manure are so terrible.

I haven't watched the game yet but it sounds like we didn't react well to some filth from Bournemouth that went unpunished by the ref. I feel relieved that Huddersfield and BHA both did us a solid and ManU and Arsenal are just as spursy as us
