I must say I'm very impressed by Plummer on defence. Plenty of traffic comes his way but he stands up every time.

Akira has been awesome in the last 5 minutes on D. Does that count as off the ball stuff (edit: as a work on, not scrapping 😉 )?

I am enjoying the Auckland defence. They look like they care, and are working hard for each other. WTF changed? It's been shambolic for a number of years.

    I like this very much.

Is it just me or are these dickhead commentators forever loving Ta$man? I personally don't think Lomax is that good. And as for Pod what an idiot.

Graham Henry's teams defend well. Even when he's 70. 🙂

Try Akira - and then his whole pack fell on him.

Is it some kind of Umaga family law that they must have dreads?

I wonder how many people backed Auckland to win the Premiership at $12?

    That's about 60 minutes scoreless for Ta$man?

Still too early for that talk. Semis are still par, anything else is a bonus.

    Going well though.

Only thing that would have been sweeter would have been TJ commentating on Ta$man getting smashed by Auckland.

    How’d you like them apples?

Well done Auckland, cleaned up a team with a better backline than the Highlanders and the Chiefs.

@kirwan Dead right. Very important win this is for us but we still have very tough competition to come including a trip to Christchurch next week (a place we never win at) so still a lot of work to do. All tonight has done is mean that next week isn't a must win game.

Having said that, great performance. Easily our best performance since Paul Feeney's 2015 side.
