    Hugh Renton's move to Chch seems to paying off for him ok - getting more gametime than in the Bay under Philpott 😉 and hasn't been injured yet (now I've jinxed him) .

    The injured Taranaki team is probably stronger than the team playing Canty.

    @squirrel No, not at all. Punching (with a closed fist) someone against the head/in the face is red every day of the week. Not surprised it's Hoeata. He may just have cost his team the relegation. What an idiot.

    @stargazer Fair enough. I see your point and agree with it. Guess, I've been watching too many of those old NPC classic matches on facebook where the rules are more relaxed.

    Hoeata has been terrible all season, all for bringing back experienced players to M10 teams but the amount of stupid penalties he has given away this year hasnt helped Taranaki at all.

    @squirrel

    Hoeata has always fancied himself as a hard man. The hard men of old (eg Meads, Skinner, Hill) would have just laughed at him.

    Decent win. Ennor continuing to look the goods in the midfield. Will be a good bench option for midfield/Wong next year and get some time if Crotty and Jack get forced breaks.
