    Despite the scratchy throat I went to karate tonight. Was alright too...<br />

    Well ... except at one point when I made a comment while sensei was showing one of the green belts the usage of a particular move in one kata. It wasn't in any way a criticism, just thinking out loud about what sensei was saying from another point of view.<br />

    The green belt came up to me at the next break and made some comment about "when [I] you're [/I] sensei you can give me tips OK?"<br />
    <br />
    Fair enough. Just trying to help but if you want to take it that way, I'm cool ...

    Been a shit week fitness wise. Illness has reduced the exercise to a walk at lunch time and eating has been slack as I try to recover and keep my energy up.<br />

    Weighed in at 92.4 this morning, which is hardly surprising given the amount of oj I've been drinking.

    Did some cat vomits last night. Feeling better the last two days, so back into it this week after scoffing some decent pro biotics.

    Pull ups with 1 minute breaks:<br />

    4, 4, started 30s breaks - 4, 4<br />
    <br />
    89 all up in 20 minutes. Minute break.<br />
    30 pushups. Minute break.<br />
    13 pushups. Minute break.<br />
    12 pushups. 30s break<br />
    3 pull ups in the time I had left to make 25 minutes.<br />
    <br />
    92 pull ups, 55 push ups.<br />
    <br />
    Started OK, died in the arse on endurance due to lack of exercise. Being sick is crap in more ways than one.<br />

    New weight loss cycle starting today. <br />

    Aim is simple: get below 90 kg and put myself in a position to stay there. Body fat percentage is probably a key thing here and I'm going to try and find a decent set of scales that measure it.<br />
    <br />
    Timeframe is 6 weeks - through to June 29.<br />
    <br />
    Today: 93.0 kg, Chest 105 cm, Waist 98 cm, Hips 103 cm.<br />

    Went for a ride this morning - covered about 30 km all up I guess. GPS cut out when I took a photo.<br />

    Walk this morning - it's too cold to run having just gotten over the hacky cough-cough bull shite I've just been experiencing. Covered 5 km in just under 41 minutes<br />

    Think I'm going to need to start running at work - either lunch time or before heading home in the afternoon. At night or early morning it's just too fucking cold.<br />
    <br />
    I'll review that decision once my five fingers socks turn up<br />

    Karate tonight. Felt really good actually. <br />

    Diet has been good the last two days. The focus is removing all forms of priced sugar as a starting point - so back to first principles really. But I'm not such a carb Nazi this time around.<br />
    <br />
    Will go for a run at work tomorrow - start some stretching exercises as well to help the side kicks in karate which I'm very bad at

    Managed to get out for that run but was in poor shape so made it 3 km - 14:51 was the time, so fairly happy.<br />

    Push up routine tonight in ten minutes while Chiefs v Crusaders is on.<br />

    <br />
    Seriously ordinary. Must have been the rum I had after work and the lack of condition in general...<br />
    <br />
    Minutes rest, then cat voms x 12 then some stretching.

    5 km run tonight in 25:40. Stuffed!<br />

    Did pull ups when I got home (after a rest on the trampoline) with the usual one minute break:<br />
    <br />
    10, 7, 5, 5, 4<br />
    4, 5, 4, 3, 3<br />
    <br />
    Took me to 10 minutes for 50 and finished with 25 push ups after a minute's rest
