Wont be down, but we are likely down on man power...was wondering if Hansen might do the decent thing and release Goodhue given he has played so little...slim to no chance but can always hope 😎
-
@kiwipie thinking about it,will see what sort of team we put out..were a banged up at the moment..knowing our luck Hansen will release Jack Goodhue for this weekend when we really need him for next weekend..no disrespect..!
-
@steven-harris For you it is really just making sure you can put the best team on the field for the weekend after - for us, we want a big win to look like we only just missed out on top 4 in the final table!
-
@kiwipie thought you guys were bloody unlucky against Otago, some of the code the streamers played in that game was sensational, your 2 locks are beasts and Mitchell Karpick in that game was unbelievable, his chase on Ioane showed what sort of ticker he has, watched Liam Steele just give the chase up..that would piss me off big time..liked the look of Kaleb Trask as well, kids got some talent..!

Mate, I’m going all greedy here. As much as I have a soft spot for you guys, I want to see us chase a big win. I want to see us have a crack at getting to third spot so we can have another go at those Hawke’s Bgay feckers again.. I’m sure as BOP fans you can understand that completely!
-
Totally brother..!
-
so apparently 11 players unavailable for BOP...assume this is total, not 11 since Saturday haha
So my guess is:
Macilai, Verney, Wright, Douglas, Straker, Gregory, Jacobsen, Robinson, Throughgood, Roberts-Te Nana plus another...did Pryor come off injured too or maybe Matt Wright also injured still?I guess in the greater scheme of things it wont be the end of the world if we lose this weekend (even though losing sucks balls) so if it means a few guys get an extra week to get over a niggle the better.
-
@taniwharugby Thoroughgood and Goodhue from that last game.
-
@taniwharugby I”m still suffering from last Saturday as well..RNS recurring nightmare syndrome..!
-
@northlandallday is he in addition to those I mentioned or replaces 1?
Both Robinson and Douglas looked bad coming off on Saturday.
Forgot Goodhue went off, although pretty sure we finished the game with 2 hookers, 3 props and loosies on the field (after playing just before with 2 hookers 2 props and 4 loosies)
-
Pretty green locking duo and loose forwards, but should also be pretty mobile.
Is a better team than I expected to be named, but jeez, I hope most of those on the Injured list are right for the following weekend!
Time for Hohaia and Tua to step up, great to see Gregory back.
Where has Albornoz come from?
Team Named:
Straker, Moulds, Rinakama
McNamara, Mayanavanua
Stokes, Jacobsen, Matiu
Nock, Debreczeni
Hohaia, Tua
Gregory, Hyland, Wright
Reserves: Matthews, Tu'ungafasi, Atkins, Albornoz, Manu, Sykes, Faiane, CooperUnavailable through injury: Goodhue, Olsen, Robinson, Ranger, Matich, Wright, Douglas, Macilai, Verney, Thoroughgood, Pryor, Roberts-Te Nana
Unavailable for selection: Kitto (whats that about?)
-
Very much a B team apart from a couple of players. 9 or 10 players that are likely or close to guaranteed starters on the unavailable list.
A lot will depend on how well the inexperienced pack competes and how well Nock and Debreczeni play.
Would much rather this line up plays this week than next week!

@duluth as per the preview, I am expecting BOP to finish with a W too.
While I'd prefer to face HB, I think even v Waikato we will put up a much better fight than last weekend, both games the lads will be keen to make a better fist of thier defensive efforts!
-
so looks like Jacobsen out then, and Manu starting, sheesh.

Olsen onto the bench.. he was listed as injured
-
ref missed a couple of little things that have cost us here (MOulds shoulda got a penalty down the other end and then a knock and 2 phases they score)
Still, we just not playing smart enough.
-
could be a 3rd ugly game in the last 4...
