    @Bones Very similar this way. Difference being that when you were cracking 92, I was cracking 87 ...

    @Bones No longer I'm afraid ... calf strain, glute strain has destroyed me, If London marathon goes ahead on October 4th ... I'm royally fucked.

    @Bones you can do it too in 5 easy steps:

    1. Be older than 40
    2. Be overweight
    3. Run 1500k in 9 months culminating in a marathon
    4. Go mountain biking with your kids every second day for 4 months
    5. Ignore every warning sign that you are close to an injury

    @taniwharugby nah just a light strain I think. Was feeling a bit tight and niggly at training and went to step to the outside and got the "ping".

    Went to test this morning with a light jog before a 5km run and probably could have done it, but would have just made it worse. No restriction on walking or anything, so hopefully some drugs, deep heat and a bit of rest/walking might have it right for a Sunday run.
