Vettori reckoned we needed to dominate the first ten overs. Well we haven't done that but i guess at least one of the openers are still in.
We haven't had the cattle to dominate the first 10 overs in a long time, Vettori is living in the past. Our best bet is to conserve wickets and finish strong.

An in form Guptill can do that. But agree that without him firing build and launch is the better strategy.

We should aim to be around the 200 mark at the 40th and then throw caution to the wind.

Not sure if you are on the windup, but NZ is doing just fine right now.
We were in trouble at 10-1 off 7 overs. We aren't in trouble at 52/1 off 14 overs.
Last 7 overs have been run a ball with no wickets and not really trying all that hard to score quickly.

We are now down to $3.25 at the TAB which means we are ahead of where we started.
That's fair IMO. Kane is well into double figures and there is no prospect he will prematurely run out of partners. Would definitely have taken this start at the toss.

We were in trouble at 10-1 off 7 overs. We aren't in trouble at 52/1 off 14 overs.
Last 7 overs have been run a ball with no wickets and not really trying all that hard to score quickly.

If NZ don;t score 300+ runs, this game will be a blowout
Scoring 4 runs a over against the best bowling attack in the CWC not going to cut it
