Good to see Parkinson back in the reserves. Somewhat concerning to see Squire coming off the bench in regard to RWC.

Awesome to see Sam"The Rock" Prattley back in Mako colours @Tim - even if he is behind Hames, Moli, Perry, Crockett and Coxon. 🙂

Good first try from Tasman, which started with a pass from Jordan to Hunt, followed by a run from Havili who passed to Aumua, who dotted down (6 minutes into the game).

    7 - 0 Tasman

A quick exchange of penalty goals brings the score to 3 - 10 to Tasman after almost 14 minutes.

Canterbury not interested in tackling during that play.
Great try from the Tasman 11

Awesome try from Leicester Fainga'anuku! Also a great pass from Havili to send Fainga'anuku on his way.

    3 - 15 Tasman after 17 minutes

Can’t see Tasman dropping a game this season based on the depth and quality of their squad..

@Steven-Harris I hope they have the Premiership top spot in the bag before their last round robin game and send their B team to Napier! 😬

On the other side of the ledger, I do wonder if Canterbury’s incredible run is starting to come to an end...
They don’t appear to have the same sort of quality they have had in the past..eg many players that have super rugby experience

@Steven-Harris It's for a great part the result of their own success. They have lost a lot of players to the ABs, the most important and recent examples being Mo'unga and Bridge.

@Steven-Harris One thing you never ever ever ever ever ever do is write Canterbury off haha.

In saying that though, I was a bit disappointed in the standard of their club comp this year. I feel that it was certainly down in quality from previous years from what I saw.

    @Crazy-Horse You'll keep!

Ryan Coxon ho0bbles off and we're down to our sixth choice loosehead prop. Sam "The Rock" Prattley!

Hansen better give us Atu Moli for a couple of weeks.

@African-Monkey definitely not writing them off, just saying they don’t appear to be as scary as they have in the past ..still a good team ,but they don’t appear to be a team that looks good enough to go all the way.

Canterbury seem to lack serious punch in their backline. Where are the ball runners in general - when Luke Whitelock and Prinsep are in your loosies you are going to lack ball running.

I reckon this Tasman side would towel up the Blues.

@KiwiMurph They were very reliant on Romano getting them on the front foot last year but he's obviously a marked man this year and he's being forced into playing a lot tighter so far. They need to get him some good ball.

@African-Monkey and the other factor is Romano doesn't look the same player in 2019.

Another thing is that Canterbury has it's 2nd head coach in three years (since Razor left for the Crusaders), and he's moving on after this season, too. Not the best coaches either, and how big is their commitment if they already know they're leaving?

That’s not bad when you can pull on Squire, and you still have Parkinson on the bench..so much depth..can only look on with envy

I must admit I find it weird when your scrum has just got owned..but the dominant scrum gets penalised on a technicality..and the rest of players from the scrum that just got owned rush in congratulate the props..go figure

I don't think I have ever seen Canterbury just fall off so many tackles.

or get dominated at the breakdown like this. It feels ... weird

@nzzp To their credit, they've done well to stay in it. They've been badly outplayed but still have a chance.

    Someone said it above.

Never ever ever write them off 🙂

@KiwiMurph To repeat a very over-used cliche: every halfback looks good behind a great pack.
