    @nta Geez

Her hand initially was, but she stepped back and took her hand off the ground.

With Blyde not 100% NZ has lost their x-factor out wide. Woodman will need to step up in the final because even though she scored that try our speedsters didn't have the confidence to beat their opponents on the outside. France look to have some size so I expect they will be in the faces of the BF7s, and NZ will need to be more composed than they were against Fiji.

And a bit of redemption for Rio too.

I really hope that the refs understand how teams are playing them on their pendantic insistence about taking taps on the mark.
It has turned into a tactic to give away a penalty to reset the defence while the ref takes forever to communicate a mark or wants it within a few centimetres.
I guess that is why we are seeing scrums taken and lineouts only 5 metres up field. At least you get a restart with room

@crucial Moreover, sometimes they're setting the mark behind the ruck where it occurred.

I would have thought it is easier to use the "coffee table" approach and be more lenient on the 10m in order to keep the game moving.

I mean, they've been pretty fucking lenient on 10m as it is...

Very lenient on the 10 but I agree that maybe “within a metre” arc behind the exact point wouldn’t go amiss and would make it less likely that defenders don’t do a Crusaders

I don't understand why some of you guys say that Tui f*cked that up. It was a perfect tackle from the Fijian player. Give her some credit!

Maybe Tui is too young to remember George Gregan on Goldie.... Far be it for me to critique her, but if Tui had switched the ball to carry in the other hand she would have scored that easy....

That NZ Fijiana game was epic 7s. Worthy of being a final. We haven't been at our best, maybe it's time to put one perfect game together

GB wing (the big one) was the difference

Her positional play and defence was woeful

Gave France way too much time and room

France really should have had a yellow for continued infringement in that last minute or two

Yellow card to Not-Russia on halftime. Bit harsh given the standard to date.

China call scrum and score + convert to have it 10-7

Great 1-2 ball off the ruck for China to go in again.

    China 17-10 Not-Russia with 3 to go

What’s with the lack of playing advantage from these refs.
Blowing the whistle while the infringed team has the ball in a broken play situation.
Are they told to avoid advantage so there isn’t wasted time or something?

Fuck the ref has decided to be a total cop on the yellow cards. Have they woken up on foul play?

@crucial it's the yellow cards in this case.

But the change around in refereeing is fucking weird.

    China have won this

The reffing has just been so inconsistent through the tournament. Players must have no idea where the boundaries are.

China's main attribute is accuracy - their handling in this match in particular was great. Mostly their tackling is low and driving. Grab a few volleyball and soccer hopefuls and skill them up, they could do well
