More vague bullshit. Auckland won't even get to level 2 with 90% full vaccination?
I thought they said Auckland will go to Red which looks pretty much like level 2?
Edit: If you're vaccinated
Yeah think red was akin to level 2.5? Was the immediate starting point if ever hit 90%

@tim said in Coronavirus - New Zealand:
Any details of the vaccine certificate system? Will it be integrated with the tracking app or another app?
No new details as far as I can tell. Won't be ready until the end of November (probably why they're reviewing stuff on the 29th of November). In the initial announcement of it they said it couldn't be integrated into the scanning app due to that using the google/apple bluetooth tracking.

Covid Protection Framework aka CPF.
Country moves to Orange when all DHBs reach 90% double dose. Review in 4 weeks to see if we have reached that target. If all South Island DBHs reach 90%, South Island may be moved to Green.
Given lengthy lockdowns to date, Auckland moves to Red when all Auckland DHBs are at 90% double dose but with border remaining.
Red with vaccine certificates looks like level 2 with a lot of masks. Businesses and events which don't enforce vaccine certificates look like level 3 (contactless only or not opening).
Orange looks kind of like level 1.5 with vaccine certificates, distancing of 1m where practicable, masks, no gathering limits. Level 2 for business without (gathering limit of 50), close contact businesses and events do not operate without.
Green is level 1 with QR scanning and masks on flights (same as now really). No gathering limits for business and events with vaccine certificates, level 2 for businesses without (limit of 100).
Covid resurgence payment doubled in Auckland.
Covid support will continue to be available but once we move to the CPF, not for businesses which refuse to enforce vaccine certificates.

Mid-December for the app according to that (I wonder what issues they ran into), formal certificates for download from end of November.

@tim said in Coronavirus - New Zealand:
Really pathetic that there was no demonstration of the digital vaccine certificate system at the announcement today.
They've had 18 months, and they can't even show the app? Absolute incompetence.
I wonder what the hold-up actually is on that.

there needs to be a plan to re-integrate Auckland with the rest of NZ!
Northland is at L2 and largely in its own bubble with movement through Auckland and beyond quite tough to do (although they did start flights out of Whangarei in the past few weeks to Wellington, where previously there was only flights to Auckland)

There is one - all DHBs reach 90%, transition to CPF, no border.

@godder well ok, but I cant see that happening this year, and TBH, looking at the Northland numbers, particularly beyond Whangarei, unlikely to get 90% at all.
Exactly, what;s the plan if we don't get there by 2023? Close the country? Fuckwits.

There has been a lot of voices demanding a target and certainty, now there is a target with certainty.

There's a difference between certainty of when things are going to change vs certainty things are never changing

So the big reveal is that the government is going to make everything better by announcing that money we don’t actually have will be made available. They’re going to address the lack of vaccination uptake amongst Maori by making available some money. Yeah, that’ll fix it, the only thing holding back 30 year old Māori people from Maraenui from getting a jab has been that the government hasn’t announced some money is available to someone or another.

Exactly.
I can't see Auckland being out of Level 3 in 2022 if that's the target.

What a load of shit. A move to the UK for my family looks more and more likely as time goes on.
