Covid-19 and keeping fit

Went for a ride with TR Jnr, fully intent on trying to smash one of the segments out there (570m hill sprint) but about 10 sec after I started the segment, it started raining, heavily!
Got to the top and sheltered under a tree for about 5 mins...so didn't beat my time
HR no where near what I got yesterday at golf, so as I thought, something not right yesterday.

Got a gym session in on sat - upper body. Bit of an allrounder of welcome back to the gym. Still pretty sore today but hopefully back in there.
Also a couple of short rides on sat with the kids, a beach swim (more just bombs off the rocks) and then yesterday got 9 holes in with the lad.

Just getting over doms from last week. Wanted to train yesterday but that fell through due to work. Loving getting access to weights again... but concerned that someone has replaced them with far heavier ones!! the struggle is REAL!

See if you focus on chins, dips, rope climbs, tyre flips, push up variations and shit like that then excuses like this don't wash
Wellingtons uncharacteristically outstanding weather during lockdown meant I barely missed a workout either.

@MN5 brah that's gateway stuff to filthy cardio. You've already gone and hooked up with a distance runner... slippery slope bro!

The weather has turned in Sydney, to the point that I'm having Palmy flashbacks.
Anyway, due to this I've been doing lots of bodyweight exercises that I've been following on Youtube and doing stair walking in my building.
FFS, I have been aching in way more places that I thought was possible to ache.
I've also put on over a kilo, but that's mainly due to the fact I'm on my once every few years migraine binge (8 in 2 weeks) and when I get them I eat like I'm hungover the next day - so my carb intake has sky rocketed.

I'm aiming for 200km on the rower this month, and only 7.5km to go. One more session and I'm there. Feeling a bit physically worn down though, it's a fair old grind. Also away for the weekend, so won't be on the home rower, so need to be done before I pick up a mate on Friday and eat steak and drink red wine.
