I'm a bit of a tragic at the best of times but during the lockdown one of the few indulgences / distractions available to me has been online shopping. This lack of sport, work functions & social activity in general has seen me turn to online shopping - domestically and internatioanlly - even more than normal. Whilst I'm now pretty much all shopped-out, I'm always on the look-out for sites that offer combinations of cool or unique gear, bargains, loyalty offers, easy shipping and as a bonus but certainly not a pre-requisite the option to use afterpay or laybuy schemes. I just scored both a cool and unique tee from a store called The Sporting District in San Antonio, Tx which we visited last year, on sale for USD10! (NZD17). I have to use NZ Posts' youshop facility to get it shipped back here, but it's still a sweet deal on a cool product. Link as follows https://www.sportingdistrict.com/ The TSD range has some cool prints and the price is reasonable. I've now got three of them.

Anyone got any recommendations that are off the beaten track? When I say that, I'm precluding ASOS, ssense, Mainline Menswear, The Iconic, mainstream brands and large recognised department stores.

if ever there was a thread to invite Mrs Mariner in to my Fern world (which she acknowledges is a real and essential thing) then this is it. She is the motherfucking queen of online shopping.

The shear number of packages that arrive (mainly to her work) leading up to something like a race day is a sight to behold. And she has the whole system sussed.

Just this morning, Mrs Hooroo asked which hat I liked the most for a series of hats online. I picked one and she agree it would be good for when we are at the races.

I asked where from, and she said the UK. Of course the hat needs the 'somethingorrather' think around the neck of course.

I politely asked the cost and left with a polite smile wondering why she needs to spend that on a damn hat.

Of course I'm a hypocrite though as I will happily spend that on a good driver.

If one doesn't buy one's hats from Lock and Co one is quite obviously a peasant.

Mrs Mariner's awesome one from Derby Day last year was custom made by a dude in London, all organised over instagram.

I never, ever ask the price. That's foolish. I just assume it gives me carte blanche to spend what i want on piss and gambling

I think this might be one of the last bastions to be broken down on TSF, partially inspired by the amount of us who clearly love a good cook-up on the food thread, and in part attributable to boredom.

Mrs Shark is also an online shopping queen. She's able to do it a little less obviously than me normally because I'll be at work when most of the packages arrive. As a result I'd taken to having some stuff delivered to work, prior to the lockdown. But when she gives me grief, I have a rough enough idea of what she spends on her expensive make-up, skin care and perfumes that I can retort in kind. Plus to be safe every now and then I'll order her something to keep her off my back.

    no. i have not

just checked it out. Wow. It's like a casual dinner jacket.

Not really my thing. Nor do i have too much use for it, living where i do. I alread have more jackets (blazers) than someone who lives in the tropics has any right to own

dunno, i would have to think. It wouldn't be much i don't reckon, i don't pay full price, and i don't buy many items that are overly costly, simply because i don't have the reason to wear them

When I lived in London, once a month I would buy a new shirt from Interno8 which was the distributor for https://angelogalasso.com/collections/shirts.html Most comfortable and amazingly styled shirts.

I never paid 1000 quid for one but remembered spending more than I should have.

Every now and then I will order one if a horse gets me a good collect

Oh don't ask that. Do you mean the actual cost or the price I tell Mrs JC?
