@Nepia how much cloneware/rebels have you watched.....its pretty much rebels season 5 so if you watched rebels and didnt like it then probably avoid
None, aside from the original Clone Wars movie.
I'll definitely get round to watching Ahsoka at some stage.

Rogue one is by far the best SW movie, and Andor by even more distance the best TV series. Adult and still with a bit of humour. Great actors.
That is all
This post is sublime and then ridiculous
It's ridiculous then sublime to me. No way is Rogue One the best movie, but Andor is easily the best TV series (although I haven't watched Ahsoka, but given my feelings on Filoni's other output I can't see it overtaking Andor).
I assumed he meant of the more recent ones.
If that's the case then I agree but not SW in general, but then I'm wondering why you find Andor being the best show to be ridiculous?

Just not quite enough action for me. Too much political intrigue. Not enough Aliens…..
It wasn’t a bad show ( it was better than BOBF ) but just not enough SW escapasim for me.

@Nepia thats a good question, even mando has dropped in my estimations, its a different show now...that i like but different to the first season

i think thats actually what i was meaning....when viewed alongside mando etc it just gives you the other side of the coin/universe....if it was the ONLY show then i would be viewed differently
There is this skit ive seen with two storm troopers in a trench arguing about going over the top...."theres only one guy, we can take him"..."hes only got a sword!"...."what colour is it?" kind of stuff...could have had a red lightsaber just seen in the background at battles....and andor is all "nope"

….and again, it had some good stuff in it….but no where near enough what I love Star Wars for.
Interesting though, seeing things through a regular joe without the force/super strength/armour/jet pack etc.

@Nepia thats about 5% of his contribution to star wars so might be harsh to judge him on, also pretty universally panned even by clonewars/rebels fans, everyone has misfires especially when starting off and finding their feet
Oh, I'm not judging him on that, it was ok as a kiddies movie (which is how I watched it) - his fluffing of the prequels and his input on Book of Boba and Mando is what I judge him on.

Hmmm, interesting, I'm the opposite with all of those. But I thought it had all of that stuff and enough SW escapism.

ok...so when you said you weren't a fan of his other out puts.......and i asked what you'd seen....and you said just the movie....i guess i would have included that info if thats what you meant...but i can see its not clear as i only mentioned clonewars/rebels
i didnt enjoy boba fett as much as i wanted too but i feel that was more on favreau, i always felt Filoni was mainly making sure favreau's stories fit in with the continuity, favreau really wanted to tell a boba fett story...but disney wouldnt let him so he pitched another mandarin...which was a huge success and so gave him a shot at boba....but they were too similar and so he had to get more fantastical and it was not good

Book of Boba and Mando from S2 on have seemed more Filoni than Faverau to me, so that was my basis. So the opposite thoughts of you . I likely have that opinion from stuff said on the Fatman Beyond podcast.
-
@Nepia i would find it hard to believe that after the success of S1 that they took control away from favreau, my understandings are those are the stories he wanted to tell and Filoni had to advise on how they fit in the canon and possibly what he was planning for ahsoka...cant remember if that was announced yet

What they essentially said on Fatman (they're both friendly with Filoni, he's been on the podcast before) was that he had a hands off executive producer in S1 Mando but is essentially co-show runner with Faverau these days.

maybe youre right...you might not like ahsoka...or much else being made in the future...then
-
I thought Ahsoka was pretty good, not as engaging as some of the others, but still, well, pretty good.
Liked Baylan though.

Or maybe Ahsoka will be the one I love? The one to convince me of Filoni's genius. The one that will show me the brilliance of the prequels ... ok, I'm just being silly now so I best stop.

@Nepia ....i wouldnt hold my breath, hope im wrong, so much of what i enjoyed was a continuation of rebels and clonewars...im concerned people that havent watched those will just be like..."its fine"
Mrs Womble is away for work and couldnt find anything to watch on the flight...so watched 6 random episodes from "brave new worlds" S2.....was saying it was fine...and all i could think about was she hasn;t watched the season from the start....let alone the first season

As one of those people - definitely.
I couldn't understand why this chick was so obsessed with rescuing some guy, who has a VERY slim chance of even being still alive - and is apparently just... a friend. To some pretty fucking extreme lengths, by the way. ||Including straight up treason/imperilling the entire rest of the galaxy.|| Silly bint.
Nor - could I understand why everybody's so worried about this one baddie who has apparently already had his arse kicked. But - decided - it's Star-Wars-rules, sure - fuck it. MacGuffin/Plot Device - I don't need to understand. I'm sure it would all make sense if I went and watched some cartoons, but can't be arsed.
Then there were some shiny-buzzy laser-swords, fighting with magical powers, new people with different magical powers, some spaceships, silly alien creatures, etc, etc.
It's fine.
And I'll at least have SOME starting context for S2.
I guess I'm obligated to say - Titwatch: zero.
But it's fine. -

brave new worlds
Assume you mean Star Trek: Strange New World as opposed to the show based on Aldous Huxley's Brave New World?
