Aldana missed weight by a few pounds and looked drained. Might be the difference in that fight

Conor looking great. Only one win since 2016 though..

    Picks for the weekend?

    Dustin Poirier v Conor McGregor
    Gilbert Burns v Stephen Thompson
    Tai Tuivasa v Greg Hardy
    Irene Aldana v Yana Kunitskaya
    Sean O'Malley v Kris Moutinho

Will cheer for Conor though. It's more fun when he's in the mix for the title.

Thompson too fast and will keep the fight at distance

Hardy is improving and I'm picking a slight upset. Money is against Hardy because he loses massively in the likability contest

I've got the Irishman. He's better after a loss.

Wonderboy is either very well rested or past his useby. I'm going with Burns.

Hardy is massive. A complete oxygen thief of the highest order but I think he gets better ever time he goes out. Don't think Bam can get it done but hoping he does.

I really hope O'Malley gets a KO or gets KOd he's either lots of fun when he's winning or a whiney bitch otherwise.

Great set of fights so far. Du Plessis with the highlight KO of the night so far. And against the self proclaimed best boxer in the UFC.

Stopping Hardy will make him even more popular.

Worst thing about him winning is the shoeys. I can watch bones being broken, eye injuries etc but my I have look away on that shit

@duluth the one on the side of the ring I didn't mind but the ones in the crowd, yuck!

Some idiot tipped a bottle of hot sauce in one of them. He's lucky Bam didn't hit him.

Some of the videos on social medial of McGregor's ankle look extremely ugly. Lots of surgery and recuperation ahead at the least.

Especially after what was a pretty awesome first round. Such a shame that had to happen.

Dan Hooker confirmed he’ll be on the Volkanovski v Ortega card. No opponent yet. I’m hoping for Ferguson but guessing it’ll be someone outside the top 10

That’s looking like a strong card. Nick Diaz v Lawler, Shevchenko defending her belt, Blaydes v Rozenstruik etc

Hooker suggested that Izzy has a fight scheduled before the end of the year but it’s not announced yet. Some of the CKB fighters were pencilled in for the Volk card but are now on the Izzy one.

Blood Diamond has got a UFC contract now. Lots of kickboxing experience but not many mma fights

I guess he’ll make his debut on the next Adesanya card

Not the UFC, but there's an interesting MMA fight tomorrow in the PFL

Genah Fabian from CKB is fighting Kayla Harrison

It's on regular sky during the day tomorrow

It's a bit like an old fashioned UFC fight - striker v grappler. Kayla is a big favourite but Fabians length and kickboxing might cause problems

I watched Genah's first couple of fights in this tournament. In the first one she was almost too comfortable and stayed in the clinch longer than she should've. Never under threat, but she went away from her strength and missed out on getting a finish.
Second fight went more to plan. Had a look at the opponent in the first round and got the finish in the second.

MIQ vouchers are a lot harder to come by than a few months ago. So Fabian had to leave NZ with no return date. Will probably be stuck in the US for months. Kai Kara France is doing a similar thing for his next fight.

These are larger fighters than in the UFC. They are fighting at 155lbs. That's 10lbs bigger than the highest UFC division and 20lbs heavier than Rousey's old division.

I presume Harrison's plan is to win this PFL tournament, go to the UFC and fight Nunes at 145lbs (can she get to that weight??)

    Hopefully Fabian spoils that plan

He did look impressive but Derek was very passive.

Both Jones and Francis will beat Gane

Harrison v Fabian went as predicted unfortunately

Nunes is in the crowd. Hopefully they fight in the next couple of years. Nunes punching power might be the only thing that can worry Kayla

@duluth I see that Morais was listed as an alternate. Did the no.1 seed pull out/got injured?
