Interesting Wellington going with the 10,15 playmakers, Also why is PUJ on the bench would rather he be playing 13 and Aso on the wing and Savea on the bench.
-
Where's the Waikato team? Should be named by now.

Waikato are always one of the slowest at naming. No one is worse than North Harbour though
-
@mikey07 I'm excited to see Jules back! Would rather Proctor to the bench and PUJ starting though.

Yeah, I was just going to mention NH, and they play tomorrow night.
Waikato tended to name their team the day before the game last season. Maybe tomorrow morning?
-
@Bones Yeah me 2 but Wondering how Jules match fitness is giving he’s only had 1 game in like 4 months.
-
@mikey07 good point - best he starts then, give him a half and then bring on PUJ to put the AB selectors to shame.
-
Im wondering if the PUJ benching is a case of the ABs keeping him in cotton wool somewhat. Surely he's the guy they will bring in for Ennor and they probably dont want to see any more centres go down.
-
@Canes4life Wellington coach said the starting midfield got the nod because they started the preseason game together.
-
@Canes4life yet they let ALB & Goodhue play...think you might be reading a bit much into it, like @KiwiMurph says, the other mid-field has played together already.
-
@taniwharugby yeah fair call. Aslong as PUJ plays against Auckland the following week.
-
@Canes4life that would be the ideal plan, but Aso is a good player, and Proctor the next big thing isnt he
-
@taniwharugby let's just wait and see on that one. ;p
Also, I wonder why Goosen hasn't been selected.

Another member of Ian Foster’s squad, hooker Dane Coles (calf), is several weeks away from a return while Hurricanes winger Wes Goosen is also sidelined with injury but expected back for next Sunday’s clash with Auckland.

So it looks like I will have 2 games to go to on Sat.
Hey team, just a reminder that there will be no public ticket sales for Saturday's match between Waikato Rugby and Wellington Rugby due to level 2 COVID-19 restrictions. The available allocation will be reserved for Waikato Rugby members, corporate partners and sponsors. Members will be contacted directly by Waikato Rugby about the process for securing tickets for the event.
-
@Bovidae unsure dude, I emailed them today about a membership but they said something about not allowing members to attend anyway so they advised me not to buy one. Idk it was weird and contradicting.
-
@Yeetyaah Classic communication out of the Kremlin. It amazes me just how insular a sporting organisation can be when they should be fan focussed
-
Finally...
-
@Bovidae Can't believe how poor the PR and promotion is for the fans. Everything minimal and last minute
-
Whoever makes these graphics needs to proof read the player names!
-
@Bovidae Yep James will be annoyed - everyone looking to see where Liam Messam is?
-
@ARHS The first thing I looked for.
A strange backline balance as Coombes-Fabling is a 1st 5/fullback but he does have the wheels to play on the wing.
-
@Bovidae I expected to see Wrampling or Te Whare. The latter is such a talented runner. Any news on Ayden Johnstone's injury?
-
@ARHS No mention of any injuries in that article. We shouldn't be surprised.
Anyway, I won't go into details but I will be watching this game on TV now.
-
-
No arms in the tackle from Aso. Unseen by the ref.
-
Jules! Comeback!
-
Julian is still hard to tackle
-
All aboard the Bus
-
-
The show off decided to score backwards
-
@Duluth not for DMac.
-
JGB surprises himself with an absolute monster kick.
-
Good try. Queue the stans in the All Blacks Facebook comments section saying how he deserves to be in the AB's.
-
@Yeetyaah I don't see Bridge scoring tries running backwards.
-
These offsides are ridiculous. They're not even bothering to pretend!
-
Well that was a bollox call
-
Kirifi penalised for being short.
-
@Bones just be taller
