@dogmeat that was probably how he injured his wrist...

@Hooroo alot of the social media stuff I have noticed is around his attitude that involves a temper?

Brooks Koepka is one I think is a bit of a dick.

Watched the final round in its entirety. Was pretty boring once BDC got the the 3 shot lead, as then he just played "par golf", nothing exciting, all very boring.

I do like his methods though.

Well BDC wins his second US Open and Rory once again finishes 2nd as he did a year ago.
Rory definitely had his chances but missed two putts inside his last three holes to finish a stroke back.

@1kiwi yep, Rory will def be ruing this one, huge chance went begging.

Fox with a top 50 finish (T45) at +12, only 7 players finished under par.

@Hooroo said in US Open Golf:

Second hatiest player on the tour. Glad there was no crowd for him.

this really is the big story. @Hooroo would have been in the majority with this attitude in 2020

Now look? BdC is arguably the most popular guy going around. His social media stuff is top quality. He's suddenly humble as fuck. Look how he interacts with fans? He's in the middle of the final round of a major. He's just dropped shots and slipped in to second. And he stops to shake hands with a disabled spectator, and sign his hat? Remarkable stuff.

And by christ doesn't golf need it, with the worlds best player being devoid of any personality at all.

And it's a problem for the PGA because he plays on the Liv tour

    @mariner4life couldn't agree more.

And the sad thing is, it will be painted as LIV v PGA, fluffybunnies, its fucking golf, I dont give a shit who pays the winnings, I just want to see the best when I watch it, not always with an '*' to many.

As for the #1 being devoid of personality, dude, he got arrested at an event recently, what more can you ask for* 😁

    *agree otherwise.

Massive choke by McIlroy. Unless he starts winning a few more majors, he'll be remembered as a nearly man.

There's a touch of Greg Norman to McIlroy now, which makes him so much more compelling. Although unlike Shark he's already banked four majors so I'm not sure the 'nearly man' is quite right.

I'm no fan of LIV, I hate the schism and the silly money that's flying around. But that said, by god it's made the majors unmissable. The stakes just seem so much higher.

He's now withdrawn from the last remaining Signature Event on the PGA Tour this year.

Rory McIlroy announced on social media he will withdraw from the Travelers Championship.

The move comes on the heels of an excruciating runner-up finish at the U.S. Open, his 11th top-five in a major since he last won one (2014 PGA Championship).

"Yesterday was a tough day, probably the toughest l've had in my nearly 17 years as a professional golfer," McIlory wrote Monday on Instragram, adding his congratuations to winner Bryson DeChambeau. "... As I reflect on my week, l'll rue a few things over the course of the tournament, mostly the 2 missed putts on 16 and 18 on the final day. But, as I always try to do, l'll look at the positives of the week that far outweigh the negatives. ... I'm going to take a few weeks away from the game to process everything and build myself back up for my defense of the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open at Royal Troon. See you in Scotland."

Good on him. The love for him over here is immense.

And made me feel better about the 106 I shot last week.

With 4 pars and a birdie.
