We've got cats and dogs, and they're all great, but cockatiels are also a lot of fun if trained well.
We've got a cat and dog as well, along with the chickens, ducks and geese, but the wife wants a parrot (of some description) to add to the menagerie.
I suggested a Kakapo but will probably have trouble getting one (great "pets" apparently for want of a better word). Very cool critters.
My flatmate and I did have a Cardinal Lory in PNG for a while (flatmate rescued it, Lory had clipped wings so was fucked on its own). Smart as, and funny as well as being a misogynist. In spite of being a female, she just hated women. Really funny jealousy thing. When we left PNG she got sent to the Bronx zoo, so I went to see her there on a work trip, but they had sent her away due to being a psycho and attacking everybody and everything in sight.
Loved that bird.

Apart from wanting to see her, I was intrigued as well. Would have been over 25 years so she would have been about to shuffle off this mortal coil. Could well have been more Norwegian Blue than a PNG Crimson.
I'm guessing yes to remembering, but I am anthropomorphic.
I would then have to decide whether she attacked me (like everybody else) because she had no idea who I was, or because of the "why did you leave me, you prick" factor. Hard to know with women. Birds ay.

I could have just posted this in the bitches thread seeing as you lot have turned this into some weird cat vs dog which I'm sure we've had before.
How I get accused of derailing threads I'll never understand.This is about huge roaming cats that could rip our throats out at any minute people!

@dogmeat I'm not one to be anti homosexuals (I don't like the word homophobic) but really? Oh well, if that is the way they feel...good for them.
I have seen lions mating in the wild though and it is quite a brutal affair, those two seem to have calmed things down a bit.
