    @machpants
    I've gone for Greenworks 40v collection which is mid-range with the likes of DeWalt and Makita being top of the pile. . Greenworks also do an 80v range.

    Use the chainsaw a fair bit but the strimmer and brush cutter get a lot of use and haven't once let me down in the last 4-5 years.

    We just bought our first house in Auckland, and got it well under CV as it needs some light renovations which we are more than happy to do. I'm not as old and grumpy as most of you but I am feeling extremely contented to finally put renting behind us. Scraping together enough $$ and then finding something big enough for our family (3 boys) in a reasonable suburb seemed like an impossible task for a long time there.

    Yeah, it is a little easier, though houses in Auckland are still outrageously expensive and banks are wanting a 20% deposit minimum so still very challenging for a lot of people.

    @booboo in case you miss it across the ditch he now has the 5:00-6:00 am gig on National Radio.

    First Up

    First Up

    News and current affairs with Nathan Rarere, weekdays at 5am.

    Quite bizarre at first hearing him doing political interviews etc after decades of sport and more mainstream radio
