Pre-workout

Re: Beta alanine
Been testing a few pre-workout eating options and have found that a generic brand muesli bar and granny smith apple seem to give me the best effect. Anyone else have something they have to eat 30-45min prior to workout?

@Rancid-Schnitzel as I typically go to the gym after work, I just make sure I eat properly on those days and drink plenty of water (have started adding a bit of celtic sea salt to my water too)
Have stopped taking pre-workout, for no reason other than I didnt feel a huge benefit from it, only really the expensive stuff did I really notice, more than I finish a workout much quicker than any tingles or hype or pump.
Could probably start a thread about other supplements though to see what others take (if anything)

It was more about pre-workout snack. The dietician advised me to do it. Played around with a few things and muesli bar and apple seemed to hit the spot. Preworkout powder is an interesting one. I think it becomes more a habit than anything else. Didn't have it while overseas for a couple of weeks and didn't really miss it but I'm taking it now I'm home.
