Moana Pasifika
1 Abraham Pole, 2 Ray Niuia, 3 Sekope Kepu (C), 4 Veikoso Poloniati, 5 Samuel Slade, 6 Michael Curry, 7 Solomone Funaki, 8 Henry Time-Stowers, 9 Ereatara Enari, 10 Christian Leali’ifano (VC), 11 Timoci Tavatavanawai, 12 Henry Taefu, 13 Levi Aumua, 14 Tima Fainga’anuku, 15 Danny Toala
Reserves: 16 Luteru Tolai, 17 Ezekiel Lindenmuth, 18 Joe ‘Apikotoa, 19 Alex McRobbie, 20 Jack Lam, 21 Jonathan Taumateine, 22 Lincoln McClutchie, 23 Solomone Kata
Unavailable due to injury: Isi Tu’ungafasi, Don Lolo, Lotu Inisi, Anzelo Tuitavuki, Mike McKee, Alamanda Motuga
The match is significant for Sekope Kepu as he will play against the team he served for 141 games. Similarly, this game could see Christian Leali’ifano etched in to Super Rugby folklore as he is just nine points away from reaching 1,000 Super Rugby points.

Not exactly the atmosphere of Suva is it
-
That's good maul defence.

It's just stupid to have two Super Rugby teams in the same city, especially if they're playing home games on the same weekend.
It would have been awesome if they could play in Tonga or Samoa, but even in NZ there are better options.
-
Tahs all offside and MP are denied a clear penalty in front of the sticks to go six ahead.
edit - pays off in the end as MP get a try from the resulting lineout balls up by the Tahs.
-
Otago & Moana's favorite son Abraham pole with yet another try
-
Porecki, you greedy bastard! Geoff Cridge was about to pick up the ball to try scoring his first Super Rugby try and then Porecki pushes him forward, picks up the ball and scores himself.
-
Good game
Looking forward to the second half
-
And come on Moana Pacifica
-
That rule never made sense to me. The opposition team have a foot in touch, and the scoring team get their try ruled out.
-
That's a bullet dodged

How do you rule it otherwise? Apply advantage?
-
@nzzp I don't know; that might indeed be the way to go about it.
-
Oh no.
-
YC I think. Not much of a lift but still potentially dangerous.
-
Slightly worse than yesterday's; yellow. IMO

just. don't. lift.
-
Come on Moana!
-
I don't think so. Hand on touch. I suspect.
-
Elbow on the line.

Poor body position from the winger. He needed to get lower and carry the ball in the correct side.

yep, and could be the difference in the game
-
Leicester's brother is having a night to forget
-
If it wasn't for the post, Funaki would have scored.
-
Again, MP so close, but not enough for the win.
-
FT: Moana Pasifika 20 - 26 Waratahs
-
Scrums the big difference.
-
@Stargazer is Formai injured?
-
@FakatavaFuture Yes. Knee/leg injury. Anzelo Tuitavuki, too (hamstring injury).
-
I really don't get why Lolagi Visinia is playing club rugby instead of playing for MP.

A little more accuracy and they'd have won that.

carry the ball in the correct arm and you win that.
-
@antipodean MP and Drua just need to sort out set piece and discipline and they'll be real good. Drua in particular will be a force I reckon.
-
Nice touch Moana
-
Tavatavanawai has beaten 42 defenders in 5 games.
Will Jordan is 1st for defenders beaten with 45, but he's played 9 games.
