Manawatu v Auckland

@Tim This is linked from the Bunnings NPC Media page: https://www.provincial.rugby/bunnings-npc/bunnings-npc-media-information/
Not all provinces give the same info. For example, Auckland only gives a player's weight; other provinces also height.

@KiwiMurph hes from up this way I believe (last couple of years at HB? @Steven-Harris) pretty sure i was a year or 2 behind his dad at WBHS.
@Stargazer Thats a great resource, I had never seen it before.
-
@KiwiMurph No, I don't know much about him. Tbh, he wasn't one of the Hastings Boys' players that stood out like some other players did, so he didn't really feature in media write-ups of games. I'm not even sure how many years he attended Hastings Boys, possibly 2, but not sure. Before that, he attended Whangārei Boys'.
Edit: his last year at WBHS seems to be 2019. He played for Hastings Boys 1st XV in 2020.

@Stargazer @taniwharugby Thanks!

@Daffy-Jaffy Good to see some youngsters in there. If we lose, we lose but am happy to see us give them a go.

Congrats to Charles, hopefully he gets his shot. A good kid.

Would like to see Jock too
McKenzie has not appeared at all in preseason or the first two games. I guess he is out injured at present.

A classic moment against the Turbos from 2009.

@Dice No those were some messy rucks! Who was number 20?
Yeah. I thought we'd never get the ball back with how many numbers the Turbos committed at the breakdown. Onosai Auva'a came up with a miracle turnover.
Number 20 is Auvasa Faleali'i. Still plays for Papatoetoe and Manu Samoa. Surprised he doesn't have an NPC contract.
-
@Dice Remember it well. We were cruising at 16-0 and then fell to pieces. They scored with about 3 to go in the corner and a young Aaron Cruden nailed a sideline conversion iirc before the winner at the end.
We had some very average teams then haha.
