Geez Ardie is playing well. Really starting to dominate at this level now.

I hope Halaholo starts next match. It's good to see him replicating his Southland form at super level.

True, but we learnt last year that the BEST All Blacks taper there effort and form till the business end of the season...didn't we? (he says with an inflection of hope)

Well Ardie went well, but also thought Fifita showed he will be ok at this level over next few years. Lumape may also turn out as a good buy for Canes if they let him develop in coming seasons.

Superb form so far. Fifita has also been first rate. Shields has competition for the 6 spot. The Canes loose combo is a strength this year with Savea a step up from his last years form

Aso was very quiet this game until being replaced. But otherwise the team is looking good. The new players and replacements have all done well. Laumape :good: Barret is continuing to control the game a lot better. Penenara throws the odd loose pass but otherwise is playing well. And the forwards after a disastrous first game (were they on the piss the night before) are getting better with the new start Coles a welcome additional.

Pretty frustrating game to watch at times. Canes just keep killing movements with a dropped ball or turnover. Also think they are missing Broadhurst go forward in traffic that was a big part of their game last year.

Ardie was good again. Hope to see him in the ABs at some point this year. could be awesome off the bench backing up Cane.

Laumape was good again and has had a pretty good start to the season. Didn't seem to give away any penalties for offside this week which has been a problem in other games. He seems to get lots of turnover ball.

Thought Halaholo was good when he came on. Aso has been quiet so far so hopefully Halaholo gets a start. Is Ahki injured?

Ardie just has to be involved in the All Blacks in some way. Obviously Cane is your #1 but Savea has jut been so good.

Yeah, Laumape gets a lot of turnovers for a back who's spent the last few years playing rugby league.

I reckon James Marshall has had a fantastic start to the season so far as well. Mark Abbot is another.

Bit more optimistic about the season now. Some of these young guys are gun players. Some amazing potential there.
