Musk & Twitter
-
“Not even two weeks ago, the financial world sneered at Musk’s buyout offer, treating it as a ludicrous longshot. But the world underestimated Musk. Even more importantly, they overestimated his opponents.”
-
@Kid-Chocolate Ha, look there is even a Silver Lake angle to make it relevant to the Fern.
-
This is some of the greatest trolling ever.
He really does love the Babylon Bee. And Iron Man movies, clearly.
-
Zeek Arkham's tweet arguably the best I've read this year.

Strangely hee reply was quite funny "I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok", but apparently she deleted that ...

“The Gates of Hell.” Lucifer/Satan/Trump (same thing) opened them. Reliable Sources.

Bloody hilarious coming from CNN with their long record of pushing fake news stories.

when does elon take control of Twitter and how quickly do we thing we'll see changes?

Clown world.

I really don't get the cult of Musk.
-
What I don’t get is the unhinged sky-is-falling hysteria and paranoia about him. It does make me laugh though.

It's portrayed as a cult of Musk by people that dispise him, but if you aren't going to get excited by self driving cars and rockets that land themselves then you need to check for a pulse.
That's cool shit.

Sure, that doesn't change my point.

Yes it is, but self-driving cars aren't his and when it comes to the delivery of autonomous driving, he's the king of vapourware - every year it's "next year". He's also the same person that reinvented tunnels.
-
@antipodean Lookup youtube videos of Tesla self driving beta, it's pretty impressive. Putting personalities aside, it's interesting tech and is being tested right now.
Yes, he makes wildly inaccurate predictions on delivery, but the same criticisms were made about landing boosters. Plenty of experts said that would never happen as well.
He seems to attact stawmen arguments on the internet like a magnet. He's never said they were anything other than tunnels to increase capacity for cars and move roads under ground in inner cities.
It's a solution for capacity and gridlock, a subway is a solution for inner city travel. For a train you have to walk at the beginning and end of your journey. This approach lets you continue your vehicle journey, and travel to it. US centric, sure, but they have a pretty big gridlock issue gettinn across cities and sprawling cities.
But lots of people think "yOu InVentED a tRain" is a great pwn.

pfft i rode around a city in China in an autonomous bus 3 years ago.
