Very headscratching to see Slade and Tuilagi together on the bench.

          Agreed

Cok injured, or a lock for the NZ match?

So, no lessons learned from last week then. Our best lock playing at 6, our best 6 (Willis) not in the match day squad and no bench cover for the only actual flanker (Curry) that we have. If Curry goes down injured I assume Billy V will come on and Simmonds will move to the flank. Despite Simmonds speed, that will then be very close to the slowest back row in living memory. And this against Japan with their high intensity game.

Midfield no balance again and our two most destructive backs in both attack and defence in Cokanasiga and Tuilagi are not to be seen save for a bench place for Tuilagi.

Cue more pedestrian attacking and a flat footed defence.

This has another banana skin look to it.

That scrum was still and stable for probably almost 5 seconds, it should be use it or lose it, regardless of what you do after that.

Dunno, Flats is. But I'm talking about the players. Just like last week when they won the world cup with a scrum in the first half but somehow lost the game.

And now a massive scream of "YEEEEAH" from Sinckler just because a Japanese player dropped a bobbly pass.

This game is making it quite evident that ref's should be saying use it immediately upon the ball being in a position to be available. Or it should just be a law that you have 5 seconds to clear it or free kick to the opposition.

At the moment we get 5 seconds of fucking around with the ball before the ref even says use it. I guess they could just shorten the use it law to 2 or 3 seconds.

Japan tactics are baffling. They are not going to win by taking 3s.

Japan tactics are baffling. They are not going to win by taking 3s.
